Default Maps Question

Hi,

Have installed NewUIs 7_4_2 by DarkWrath, Manos scope mod and New UIs 7_4_2 jimimadrids map tools. Started campaign at realistic level. There are two map mods (NAV and TAI) with various map features you can turn on and off by clicking on boxes associated with each feature. Only want two features enabled so only those two boxes are checked. When the game is saved and reloaded all the boxes are checked again. How does one keep the boxes unchecked?

Thanks

Hi Redowl
To make permanent changes you need to go to TDW's Options File Editor Viewer and customize the NAV and TAI Tabs.
The OFEV is located in the data\Applications folder.
Check out my SH5 tutorial signature below for more information.

Tried using that approach and was not able to find a file. Found py files in the program folder (data/scripts/menu pathway) and tried to open the navigation map.py file using the editor and received a message that the file cannot be opened up with the the viewer app. Opened the py file with Notepad. Can I change it in Notepad? If so, do you know what lines I change?
Or???

Thanks

Hi R
Assuming you have installed the OFEV application to make changes to it you need to first disable the 7-4-2 mod.
The TAI and NAV patches can be then ticked or unticked, saving the file then keeps the changes made.
The 7-4-2 mod is then again enabled.
To make changes to the py file opens up in a Notepad format where the Nav and TAI maps will either show "true" or "false".
Reversing the patch and saving the file will keep the changes.
The mod when making changes to the py file does not need to be disabled first.
Tutoriasl can be found from my signature below.
