Default Dutch Harbor, SF, and San Diego

Why do these bases exist in the game if no patrol orders have ever asked to go near them?

While I know there were sightings and some sinkings off the coast of the US, I see no reason to go east that far.

Dutch Harbor makes a bit more sense early on in the war as the Japs attmepted to creep up and over in that direction, but again no orders to go that way.

I'll have to scan RSRDC to see if anything is spawned there.

RSRDC indeed has some patrol objectives around Dutch Harbor.
No patrol objectives for SF or SD though.

There were "visions" back-when in TMO and other mods (specifically anything "lurker_hlb3"), of having the World War in the game, not just around Pearl and Tokyo. TMO has some Alaskan Campaign stuff in it, and a "New Construction" start at San Fran, and most likely had plans for more. There was an US Atlantic start even... FotRSU has an expanded Alaskan Campaign, but I always get sunk up there, and have never made it through... 'course, I get sunk all of the time...
