Okay, now I got it running at 1920 x 1080. It was a setting in my NVIDIA control panel where I had scaling by "aspect ratio" selected, rather than "full-screen" which I had changed a week or so ago while troubleshooting when I was having loading crashes in SH3 without the 4Gb patch.

The resolution is now changed, but the reticles are still misaligned.

So I started disabling some of my GWX mods. After deleting a batch of them the problem now seems to be fixed. I'll have to narrow it down to the exact one. Don't have time right now, my wife has COVID-19 and I need to attend to her.

Anvar1061, I'll have to figure out the pixel adjustments if I run into it some more. Thanks for your help.

Support 1920 x 1080 doesn't ''fit'' correctly

Hello!

I'm experiencing a problem with the ARB WideGui 1920 x 1080. Everything looks just fine and I like it a lot but it looks like my screen is too small to fit the whole thing... The lower left corner is as it is supposed to be (I think ) but the top right portion of the screen is somehow cut outside my monitor. It seems like the 1920 x 1080 doesn't actually fit my screen, although that's the resolution I'm using in my monitor.

I followed 4H_Ccrashh's STEP by STEP guide to make ARB WideGui 1920x1080 work in the STEAM version of SH3 by the book (although I replaced the beer portion with some cheap whiskey ) and I'm not using any other mods at the moment. I figured it would be easier to first get this 1920 x 1080 fix to working order before installing any other of those wonderful mods there are out there.

There are some screenshots below that probably describe the problem better than my commentary.

I appreciate your help with this problem!

So anybody got a idea how to get the arb recon book fix to work with the functional chronometer? the Wolfpack gentleman judging by his videos has gotten it somehow to work together.

They both require changes to menu_1024x768.ini, so when you install one you overwrite the other. To fix it, you need to merge the changes into one file. I suggest using notepad++ with a compare plugin to find the differences and coping them into the other file. If you make any changes you have to renumber every item in the group.

You also need to apply TychoSh3Patch if you have not.

Regards

Tnx for the reply, yes the TychoSh3Patch is applied and I compared the two files with notepad++ but the arb recon book fix menu_1024x768.ini doesn't have anything extra to copy to the chronometer menu.ini.

I don't understand this "renumbering" comment?

Default Game starting in 'pause' and cannot be taken out of pause status

First, I'd like to thank 4H_Ccrashh for the work he has put into resolving the map issue. I was having the same problem with the map, but the ARB wide screen was working other than that.

I followed 4H_Ccrashh's instructions to the tee and now the game loads in (in both single missions and career mode) fine - no crashing, but the game starts in pause mode and you cannot get it out of pause (backspace, p, + -, etc.).

Has anyone else seen or heard of that happening? I have played this game off and on since it came out new (I'm old) and I love it.

Thanks guys
