I've been wondering about something. When we install the Beta version over the stock game are we supposed to get something telling us what is being overwritten before the install?

No, you should not. If you install a mod over your previously installed mod you will get that warning from JSGME.

Thanks for setting me straight, AVG.

Okay guys, I'm getting data errors at work here, so I'm going to have to try to assemble it tonight at home.

One other item, the orange circle is showing over my sub when submerged.
Thanks for the report! I'd like a sub screenie for that.

The U-mark (that's the name for the orange circle with an arrow that shows the surface position of your sub) will be in for default FOTRS Ultimate, but will have a plugin mod to remove it if players want it that way.

We will have the stock plotting system also and I had a nightmare last night about a possible new plotting system that I wrote the ideas down so I could build it. We'll see how that goes.

We have plugins for different keyboard layouts ready to go and each plugin will come with a keyboard configurator program to make your own custom changes.

We'll also have plugin mods for differing AI modes from darned easy to sadistic.

More to come on plugins. We're concentrating on the base mod now.

Speaking of plugins, boss. We need to get the Special Missions list narrowed down a bit. I'll work on that to night and post something in the storage area before I hit the sack tonight. I will eliminate the missions that have been discussed in the past.

bullhorn New Version Release!

Okay. For real this time. FOTRS Ultimate v0.27 Beta EN is now up for download for team members and beta testers. Beta testers are getting PMs with the link.

This was created by taking s7rikeback's version, deleting the directories covered by propbeanie's CleanBv27Campaign.7z and then copying those directories in from CleanBv27Campaign.7z.

This should come out with a much better campaign than we've had. There is still some polishing to do but it can be back-burnered to get this overdue version out!

... and be careful what you click on over there folks! The place is mined with old versions of stuff, and littered with the wrecks of past failures...

now... am I downloading the correct one myself??...

Edit: btw, am I dreaming, or is this thing really less than a gig in size finally?...

Default Windows Updates Grrrr & Hmmpppff

Both my systems got hit by Microsoft's Windows 10 Anniversary update.

And lets just say, it was a very long hangover period...

both Systems were and still are taking up to 10 mins to boot now, graphic glitches were everywhere.

Now two complete full re-formats and re-installs later i'm back, but still plagued by the very long boot up times, but at least I can now read the screen's before they flicker and distort..

Can't wait for the patch that fixes the last patch. lol.

Plenty of reading to do, where do i start!?! "sobs"

Welcome back. I combined your 0.27 release with propbeanie's campaign cleanup and re-released as v0.27. I'll defer to you, propbeanie and cdrsubron7's judgment and work on our campaigns. We should be better but not perfect yet. I'd also like to see if we can get CapnScurvy's seaplane launching warships operating. They're still there but their type number is reverted to stock.

It will take restoring CapnScurvy's type numbers of catapult launching warships and campaign changes to add the catapult launching ships to the random groups. From what I understand, all groups should be random groups and we won't get any conflicts.

Welcome (back) to the jungle!

I added the Win 10 Anniversary update a couple of weeks ago with no difficulties. Guess I'm just lucky.

RR,

I left the catapult & float planes in v0.27 on their new unit types... I only corrected the errors between the sea folders & the roster folders cfg's.

For example the Naka was an unit type 8 in sea and an 18 in roster. I had something like 10 ships to correct all with the same issues. plus graphic and 3d models to correct. But I deffo left Capn Scurvy's new settings in game.

The AMD system was worst hit. but so far so good since the reformat..
Mind you, it had not been done for over a year..

Yeah, I've heard about that AMD bug, luckily I've not been affected by it yet.

Default Found a small problem with the new v0.27

Sorry, I cannot get tinypic to load.

I have downloaded the new v0.27

But in the Museum Roster:

As you can see, the missions files are in the wrong folders.
