Audio tracks from https://maritime.org/sound/#sealion combined into single file for each attack. Moderate improvement of audio quality by increasing speed 10%, some noise reduction and adjusting treble and bass.

Thanks . I thought it amusing that according to Mr. Schuler, a CBS war corespondent "develop cold feet" between Pearl and Midway and left the recording equipment with the crew-He missed his scoop in history for sure, but i can't help but question myself whether I would have made the same decision as the corespondent given the circumstances! The recording are not bad and you can make out ambient sounds of equipment and even the accents of the crew.

Interesting. True, if the correspondent had been there and the sound equipment used correctly it probably would have been the scoop of a lifetime and a famous WWII story.

Only a few known recordings made and one is the sinking of a Battleship and a Destroyer.

Nagato, alerted by the explosions, turned hard and the Sealion's second salvo missed ahead, running on to hit and sink Urakaze; the destroyer's magazines were hit by the torpedo. She blew up and sank quickly with the loss of all hands on board, including ComDesDiv 17 Yokota Yasuteru.

I wish they would bring back the original Silent Hunter to be compatiable with Windows 7-10

Using realistic sounds and better graphics

You could have a quick version and a long hard campaign version

Defend Reloaded runs DOS games great under WinXP, Win7 and Win10! I run all my DOS based Sub Sims using it!

AOD, SHCE, Silent Service 2, Wolfpack, 688 Attack Sub, DOS Boot, Epyx Sub Battle Simulator, Harpoon, SSN-21 Seawolf, and Up Periscope!
