Default Vista help request

Hey guys, I use Vista on my laptop (I know, I know, but it was pre-installed.) and I'm having trouble getting my USB MIDI cable to work.

Its that exact same one, but Vista doesnt like it. It keeps telling me it cant install the drivers (its plug and play)

Does anyone know of a generic driver, or a way around this? Any help would be appreciated

Thats the thing, I got it from E-Bay, and it doesnt say on it I didnt get a driver disk either because it has the software on the device itself

Welcome to Vista. Lots of people have problems with drivers not working right off of USB. U3 is another example.

Have you tried this on another computer to rule out hardware problems?
