It's a bit adult, I'll delete if necessary.

Default "I'm So Excited" - The Pointer Sisters.

Hey.... the "Beautiful People". Some of them don't look too happy.

Any Subsim members in the crowd???

Thanks for posting! Interesting photos indeed.. you usually don't see those publicly lol.

OT: "Sweet memories will hold a long, long time" (from the lyrics)
I bought that "So Excited!" LP in 1983, and recorded the LP on cassette. I had just bought a Spitfire (the car ) in England, and wanted to drive from Goettingen to Stuttgart in july 1985 with a friend.

While having no problem before, the car would now run for 20 minutes, and then cough and stop. We checked ignition, carburettors, leaks, all well. After waiting for 20-30 minutes it would start and run perfectly.
Later found out that there was a heat shield missing, which was not installed in english versions since it never became that hot there Gas bubbles in the fuel pipe over the exhaust manifold..

We played the "So Excited!" album up and down for hours, and it will always remind me of this tour, and the car. Since it was around 700 kilometers it was an "exciting" tour indeed

"Spitfire" - British Leyland build?? I heard they were a bit slack re manufacture.

I sold my car last year when I moved back to Sydney. I miss it - 2004 Ford Falcon XR6 Mk1, beautiful car, but I'm getting old, have lots of dizzy spells, and a car is a definite liability in this city ( VERY car unfriendly City Council )

Studio 54 was a bit out of my league. I don't mind Disco ( mostly ), it was always good on long drives.

Glad it made you feel nostalgic.

I heard that, too.. everywhere. The last Leyland-built 'Spitfire' type (1500) was awarded the "Silver Lemon" for worst building quality and reliability by the german ADAC . I absolutely disliked those boring german cars of the time, let alone the VW "Beetle" with its 1930ies "design", cheap valve whistling sound (like Porsche my a$$) and KdF history lol.

The Ford you mentioned looks nice with the sleek lines, a bit like the Rover 75.

We are living in a small village in the woods, so you have to be mobile here.. if we move to a city at some point we will probably also get rid of our cars.
The greens are on some crusade here as you may have heard

If you haven't seen "Vanishing Point" you might want to give this clip a miss. Ending Spoiler.

Kowalski's life is pretty much played out in the film. Heaps of religious metaphors throughout.

The screenplay was written by an interesting guy.....a former speech writer for Fidel Castro.

This is posted mainly for Catfish.

This guy tweaked his vw "a little bit" to make it more interesting.
