The theme of the night was broken tires.

The traffic jam that stopped the mighty US army.

Been mucking around in the editor some more;

Added some randomised stuff (ie doesnt spawn every time):
- commando teams along the convoy's route. Give the road a scan on your way.
- Strela SAM. Short range, but these buggers don't emit radar, so keep yer eyes out.
- MANPADS. Probably a good idea to use flares pre-emptively if you do low-level runs, at lest give target areas a good scan.
- AAA trucks. Not a major threat but definitely dangerous if your not aware of them.

Not gonna tell you where, but there are at maximum 5 commando teams, 1 Strela, 4 MANPADS and 2 AAA trucks. So their could be none of them, all of them or anything in between.

Also, there's this sneaky git of a Tunguska parked somewhere with his radar off. You won't get a warning untill he locks on to you, so be sure you know where that jammer button is and be quick with the counter-measures. He's off the route though, so if you mind the flightplan it shouldn't be an issue.

Enemy convoy departs objective 2 to reinforce objective one, in anticipation of an assault. Turns out they were too late though, so it becomes our job to wear them down before reaching their objective. Provided our convoy reached theirs safely, it will keep the enemy from taking back their airfield.

Additional JTAC at both the 1st objective and target range. The 2 in the target zone should move to the 2nd objective once the Osa SAM there is destroyed.

Clustered the AAA at the 2nd objective more closely. Dealing with all of it was too much of a pain. Should be easy enough to hit a group of 3 with a cluster bomb, maybe even a well-placed mk-82.

Starting the server to give it a test. Kinda hard on my own though, so feel free to join.

Alright, here we go. See if this works...

* default load for Ka-50 is Vikhrs + S-8FP2. Those are the frag rockets, don't think they are in any default load-outs.

BS2's server browser doesn't seem to work, so use the Connect IP button.

Was browsing through the ED forums when I came upon a topic regarding SAM's shooting down Mavericks and stumbled upon this video:

and

Oddly enough, the sound makes me want to fire the GAU of the A-10C. I have a strange attraction to the sound.

Is that me dumping my CBU's in the second pic?

If so, quite a timing, never noticed you were there.

Yeah it was, I was just going to take a snap anyway, you dumping your load was just a bonus!

And I never thought I say that to you.

Oh, and one more Dowly screenshot

Found this, don't think we should install it though as we need all the players we can get.

There we are, another (Thurs-)day, another chance to spend millions of virtual tax dollars.
