By the way, after test and test, I found the maximum acceptable size of a texture for SH3 is 3748322 square px, like 2738 x 1369 (=3748322), or 1936 x 1936 (=3748096). Any texture larger than that (like 1937 x 1937) will make the game stop (not crush, but stopped, unresponding) when meeting the ship with the texture.

Yes, but if you put the ship's texture in data/Textures/TNormal/tex, it works fine with extra large tga. For example, the WOWS Bismarck texture is 4096x4096, and SH3 is running fine with it.

Oh, great! I don't need to be headache for this problem anymore (I have to divide the 4096 texture into 2 textures and remap the model to make it work, now you saved me), thank you very much!

You have to set the dates when not only the sub is available but also when the guns can be used also. this might be the problem
