No, I left those yellow objective icons alone. I think they might be necessary for the game. I guess I could make a beta test release with them removed. We could see if it causes any problems.

Thanks Neal. I had been thinking about trying to become part of the Subsim modder uploading-ability member thingy.

This simple mod removes those very annoying flashing player guidance icons at the top of the screen (see screen shot below). They never seem to go away. Unfortunately, there is no menu option in the game to turn them off, so I had to create this mod to remove them.

There are two versions included. One is for vanilla SH5 users, and the other is for TheDarkWraith's New UI_0_2_1 user interface mod. If you are using his mod, just be sure to install it first before installing this. Enjoy!

I have tried this even by it self and the icons are still there. Any ideas?

Thank you

Hi. Are you installing it in the correct order? If you are using DarkWraith's UI mod, you need to enable his mod first with JSGME. Then this one second. If you are using vanilla SH5 UI, I'm not sure what the problem is. I tested the vanilla version of this mod, and it seems to be working correctly.

Difter, great idea but I am having a small problem. More of a nuisance actually: when I activate "vanilla version" of your mod, it does exactly what advertised but it also removes the "skip" and "x" button in briefing.

The "clickable spots" are still there so if I want to skip the briefing and have enough patience (i.e. click in the general vicinity of the buttons) I can manage.

Would it be possible to eliminate all the "help reminders" and still keep the buttons in the briefing?

THX!

I understand. Will try to bring back the clickable x spots.

Thanks, mate! Those icons are REALLY annoying.
Just a quick question: would it be also possible to get rid of the golden "exclamation mark" for (new) objective?

Hehe. I was just about to upload a new version with that feature, but then I saw your post.
