Default Low fps (lag) on free view and conning tower (horizon view) even with good laptop?

Hello, sorry if there is another post talking about this topic.

I have a very good laptop, special gaming laptop "Acer Nitro 5" that can run heavy games smoothly, but I noticed that when I play Silent Hunter 3, the fps (Frames Per Second) drop drastically and change depending on which station I'm in, e.g: Navigation map is good 140-240 fps, even at 2048x time compression, Conning tower drops to 12-18 fps? (With M.E.P mod, I get 28 fps with GWX 18km atmosphere, which is still unsatisfying as I get more fps with stronger games) It doesn't matter whether it's a stormy day or a clear night, I will get low fps and TC doesn't change it. And it doesn't matter how far I am from port or land mass.

I noticed when playing the original SH3 without any mods, it isn't that bad, but when I use mods that change graphics (e.g: GWX 16km atmosphere or M.E.P.6 20km atmosphere) the game becomes much slower on conning tower or free view (it is especially noticeable at these two stations, didn't notice any problems when in navigation map or control room inside the u-boat). One important note is that the game is even slower with the bigger mod M.E.P 6 with its 20km environment.

I've tried many ways to fix this, using the 4GB patch, I tried to patch sh3.exe manually and then using the automatic 4GB patch with h.sie's fixes, it didn't change anything.

Could it be that I'm installing 4GB patch incorrectly? or that I'm missing something? Because I saw a friend playing with the same mods I'm using and his game doesn't lag, and he has a weaker PC.

I've also tried to launch sh3 with different compatibility systems (Windows XP, Windows 7) and it didn't help.

I have played games that are far more demanding and without any problems, when I check how my processor is doing in task manager, I can clearly see that my laptop is running the game effortlessly proving that the issue is from the game itself.

My device is Acer Nitro 5:
-Intel core i7 9th generation.
-Graphics card Nvidia Gefore GTX 1650 4GB.
-8GB Ram.

My mod list (I've tried it once with GWX 16km atmosphere, and once with M.E.P.6):

-GWX3 Gold
-ARB Wide Gui 1920x1080
-Thomsen's Sound Pack V3.2cg
-Rbs1_SH4 Effects_GWX_30_71
-Rubini's Underwater dust&plancton v 1
-GWX - 16km Atmosphere/M.E.P 6 (and its mini mods)
-TKSS18 German U-Boats Compilation
-FixAllSubGWX
-Ricks_GWX_Rec_Man_Final
-H.sie's hardcoded fixes.

Any ideas on how to solve the problem? Thank you.

More than likely SH3 is running on the integrated graphics instead of the nVidia card.

Go to Windows Settings and search for "Graphics Settings", Browse for a Desktop App and add SH3.exe. Change the setting to "High Performance".

Or, if you are not on Windows 10, the same can be done through the nVidia Control Panel.
