Default Now that we have the oculus quest

I dont actually have vr atm but could you use the quest for a vr type experience in a non vr game ? I was thinking virtual screen scenario .

Yes you can. There is an app on Quest called virtual desktop.

This app will connect your VR headset to your computer and project the screen into your headset. You can choose the environment where you want to look at the screen or you can just look it in the black void if you dont want 3d environment around virtual screen.

I dont have Quest myself but i have tried virtual desktop on Oculus Go and it works pretty well. Just make sure you have a good wifi connection at home in order to have a meaningful experience. Otherwise the difference between your input and output will be too big.

EDIT: Also there is another app called BigScreen and you can download it for free. This will also bring your PC screen into your headset. Neat thing is that it is also connected with multiplayer. So in theory if you had other friends who own Quest you could all join into the same virtual environments with 4 virtual screens. And you can all see what happens on the other players screen. I guess that would be awesome way to play Wolfpack. Like an old school Lan party.
