Default Deck crew position on deck

Hi,

IN OM, some sub like the VIIC have a crew position poblem.
Like on pict, rear crew men are on same side of sub instead of one each side.
Kind of ridiculous

How to change that and have one man on each side?
What file please?

Hello Fifi,

You would need to look at the Data > Submarine > xxxxx > xxxx.eqp and then look for the Z01 nodes.

Then Look for the LinkName=data/objects/xxxx.

And then match the year you are currently in.
Below is an example of the NSS_Uboat7c = SSTypeVIIC=Type VIIC U-boat

;first coning with 1 AA mounts
[Equipment 1]
NodeName=Z01
LinkName=data/objects/Turm7c_1_hd
StartDate=19380101
EndDate=19411231

;second coning with 3 AA mounts, 2 twin 20mm, 1 single 37mm
[Equipment 2]
NodeName=Z01
LinkName=data/objects/Turm7c_2_hd
StartDate=19420101
EndDate=19431231

;third coning with 3 AA mounts, 2 twin 20mm, 1 single 37mm
[Equipment 3]
NodeName=Z01
LinkName=data/objects/Turm7c_3_hd
StartDate=19440101
EndDate=19451231

Hi s7rikeback,

Thanks for sharing your time and modding experience with me

So if i understand well your explanation, it’s because of a wrong year match?
I’ll look into that...

Not quite - you need the correct year, so that you can open the correct object.dat and then look at the node positions on the turm. And then you would be able to see the lookout positions and then move them to your taste...
Judging your previous work, you have used S3ditor before yes ?

The dates seem correct...
It’s only the « Turm 7 c 1 hd » that have the 2 guys on same side.
The other turms (2 and 3) have correct positions, but 1 more guy on it though...

If Lurker was here, he would say it’s « as designed »
But still... don’t explain why this strange position configuration on first VIIC turm

Or i probably missed something else?

They're both on the same side so they can talk about where they're going on leave when they get back to port!...

Try these Fifi,

89: Node - DMY_Soclu_POS_NW
These below are also inked to the above and would need moving to the same position if the above has been moved.

137: Node - DMY_Soclu_POSR_NW
218: Node - WCS_03_dummy

==========

105:Node - DMY_Soclu_POS_SW
These below are also inked to the above and would need moving to the same position if the above has been moved.

153: Node - DMY_Soclu_POSR_SW
206: Node - WCS_01_dummy

That's perfect!

It was an error in the Turm7c_1_hd.
I took the right position value from Turm7b_1_hd (with the guys at the 4 good position) just changing the node-WCS_01/02/03/04/05_dummy values, and then adjusted back the right elevation (Y) from Turm7c (because the elevation value was slightly different in turm7b)
Result is perfect now!

Thanks again my friend for your help

I'll probably update my Compilation mod with this adjustment for VIIC
