2011 SUBSIM Werewolf Game Thread

Tarrasque looked up at the moon, wondering how much longer this would last. Who would be the next to die and who would survive.


AVGWarhawk went past the thick dungeon door. Takeda was locked inside; nothing would disturb the American, not man nor beast. Warhawk banged on the door just to taunt the journalist.


"Hey, lemme outa here". Takeda pounded on the door. "Lousy Hauptmann Rear, throws me into the dungeon, doesn't feed me all day. Hey! Haven't you heard of journalistic immunity?!" He slumped back to the stone floor. "Hitler, my ass. Someone better let me out of here."


Across the Inner Ward, in the Widow's Den, Pioneer could hear bestial growling as the creatures hurried from one part of the castle to the other, looking for their prey. Suddenly, a long, triumphant howl tore the night. Pioneer paused, then slowly crept out.


Ducimus heard the howl, closed his eyes, and swallowed.

The next morning they discovered a single casualty: Task Force.

Day begins

*after watching Rears get his makes way to dungeon to see the American*

"So much for Rear who put you here...oh, nevermind."

*bangs and clatters the bars to bring some fear to the American. Returns to the beach to await daybreak*

[AVGWarhawk]

"Tarrasque! We survived the night. No beasts or man made way to the the trench. Today we shall make more attempts to find out who is running afoul."

*stretches and thinks about breakfast. Scratches butt. Usual morning routine. Thinks about morning constitutional. Needs reading material*

[Jimbuna]

Jimbuna was soon alerted to the commotion that morning and knew someone must have met an untimely end.

'No time for sentiments right now' he thought to himself and set off to investigate further parts of the castle.

As he approached the armoury he clearly saw Mookie running towards the Widows Den, he waved to him and Mookie came over.

Jimbuna "What are you up to"?

Mookie "No time to explain in detail atm, time is of the essence but I'm going into the Widows Den....fancy keeping a lookout"?

Jimbuna "Yeah no problem....anything if it helps us get out of this Godforsaken place"

They both went into the Widows Den, Mookie began searching and Jimbuna kept lookout through the smallest of openings in the door towards the courtyard.

Well, Tarrasque can sleep and I will make way to the castle. I would care to see what transpired last night...if anything at all.

*collects weapons. Smooth hair back. Begins walk towards the castle.*

[AVGWarhawk]

*enters courtyard and has seen Jimbuna by the Widow Den. Address's Jimbuna*

"You there....what is going on? What has transpired last night?"

*brandishes weapon*

[mookiemookie]

*Mookie counts off the stones...*

"...eleven....twelve....thirteen...."

He moves aside the stone and underneath lies a glittering gold charm necklace in the shape of an ancient rune.

Mookie's head spins.

"So it was real..."

*brandishes weapon again*

[Jimbuna]

Jimbuna sees a short-legged German approaching from across the courtyard...he spins round and says "Quick Mookie, out the back window".

In what seems a flash the pair of them leap through the back window and are back in the bunkhouse in what seems like only a few seconds.

Well, that is a manuever that would indicate someone is up to no good.

*pulls the trigger of the weapon spewing bullets at the Widows Den*

"Yah, you keep on running then. If I don't get you I'm sure the werewolf will in due time."

*moves off to the dungeon to see the American Tak*

*arrives to the dungeon and sees Tak*

"Amerikaner, wake up. Time to talk!"

*runs the barrel of his weapon across the bars*

[Takeda Shingen]

Takeda sits on the cell floor, staring pasively at the blustering German.

"Whaddya want, you good-for-nothing Kraut. You gonna shoot me now? A week ago, I might have cared, but in this hell, it doesn't matter anymore. Leave me to rot, shoot me, I don't care, but I ain't no goddamn monster!"

"I'm not here to shoot you. I'm here to talk. You seem to remain calm and unscathed through it all. I would like to know how you accomplished this thus far. Would you like to share with the rest of us so we may enjoy the same protected calm you have so much enjoyed?"

*stands waiting*

"Also, do you have any of those famous American Pall Mall cigarettes we hear about? I'm not smoker but recent events....you understand..."

[Pioneer]

The step out of the hole behind the painting felt even more woozy with wobbly legs. The attempt to stay awake had failed, and no sooner had heavy eyes overtaken him, then the blood curling howl started. He looked down at the remains.

"I would not have thought that the man I served alongside would attempt to take my life. This beast is not the man I served with, but some force that has taken control of him."

Pioneer pulled a drape down and threw it across the body. He looked at his own hands, they were white. He examined the backs and then patted himself down - no injuries, not a one. This was more disturbing than the corpse before him. he turned and looked at the painting of Tiresais.

"Thank you" he spoke to the painting while saluting. "Someone was looking over me last night."

The morning light began to shine, and in the ward, he could hear the others moving, before fear returned.

"With no witnesses, who's going to believe that I didn't kill him."

Takeda lept up with great agitation

"Calm? Calm?!?!?! I've been freaking out every night. Those damn Brits have been screaming at me the entire time to calm the hell down. And you say that I am all cool and collected. If you ask me, you're the one that seems all cool. Standing there with your gun while your friends are dying. Are they dying at your hands? Are you one of those things? What did you do to get such a curse? Sell your soul? Do you have children? Did you sell their little souls too? Or are we all just lunch for you, beast? Is that it? Is this a buffet?"

Takeda slunk to the floor, unwilling to continue his tirade.

"Then go ahead. Eat me. Get it over with. That's why I'm in here, isn't it? That's what you want, right? You damn backwards Krauts. Figures you'd all be monsters."
