*After the announcement, Enigma rushes to the widows den*
Pioneer, where are you, please don't hide.
I've some important questions for you.

Jimbuna hears the message from the tannoy 'an important view' eh?

Mookie regards the latest message with a wary eye and fiddles with the chain around his neck....

"Important view....there's only one view. Wolves. Kill them before they kill you. End of briefing."

[Takeda Shingen]

Takeda, exhausted from his ordeal, none-the-less made his way to the Great Hall. He would listen to what Enigma had to say, not that it would make any difference. He knew what must be done, and he knew how he was going to go about it.......

"Just make it quick," said the Oberfeldwebel.

"Very well." Mookie turned and joined AVGWarhawk and August on the firing line. He handed a carbine to the Takeda. "May as well get used to this, Yank. The way it's going, you may need the practice."

The journalist held the heavy weapon uncertainly. "Yeah, 'spose you're right, Mack."

He took aim, then relinquished the rifle as August worked the bolt for him. "Works better when there's a round in the chamber, Schmierer," he grinned.

"Guys..." AVGWarhawk said, with a touch of nerves. Ducimus struggled and writhed against the straps that held him to the post. His face contorted, his flesh blackened like fetid leather, and horrible black bristles grew with hideous speed across his cheeks and brow. His chest swelled and the straps strained.

Together, they raised their weapons and at Mookie's command, fired.

Night begins!

"Mein Gott! Is there no rest for the weary? Trying to sleep and I have to conduct a firing squad exercise with real bullets and suspect!"

*lifts rifle to take aim. See Ducimus transforming*

"Gott verdammt! From what bowels of the devil did this abomination spawn!"

*Fires at Mookies command*

*The Enigma takes a deep breath which is picked up by the mic and thus heard through the speakers*

I'm inviting all of you to meet me at the Great Hall.
There's an important view on the current situation to be revealed by me.
It's a matter of life and death, so be there at 22.00 hours (GMT+1)!
Please release any prisoner from the dungeon, so he can attend this meeting as well."


*Click and silence, the amplified words are echoing away*

"Really? No sleep for nights on end. Attempt to sleep tonight only to be recruited for a firing squad detail (well, I did pin the lynching on Ducimus so I can understand being present). Now Enigma with the damn public address system! I guess he fails to remember what happened to Rear when the microphone became a tool for karaoke night."

*stands thinking to self*

There are nothing but dead Germans and Tommy all over the island. No one can be trusted! Now Enigma wants all to meet at the Great Hall. I guess I will make way to the Great Hall. At the rate all are dropping like flies pehaps it is time we all really attempt to work together.

*makes way to the Great Hall*

[Tarrasque]

*Follows AVGWarhawk to the great hall.*

"Damn germans. Still trying to order everyone around even as the island collapses around their ears."

[Pioneer]

A blistering sound stirs him and he looks out, it is dark.

"Did I fall asleep?" he ponders.

He looks at his hands and sees the blood on it, it is everywhere. On his clothes, in his hands, on the painting on the floor.

The painting is one the floor?

Slowly the vision returns, while looking in the hole in the wall behind the painting, the painting has fallen, knocking him out and leaving him to bleed. He has no idea how long he has been out, but he is drawn to exit the Widow's Den and proceed to the Great Hall.

He is still alive, barely.

[The Enigma]

*Enigma sees Pioneer confused going towards the Great Hall. Obviously, Pioneer hasn't seen or heard The Enigma calling him.
Runs after Pioneer*

Hey Pioneer, please wait, I desperately need to talk to you!

[Pioneer]

"Right here, although a little worst for wear. Still, it could be worst. I could have been the midnight snack for the animal running around."

[The Enigma]

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to talk to you.

We all have been able to read your discoveries and latest encounter.
I salute you for your brave attitude.

However, you have left some confusion on what exactly has happened there at the den.
Care to help me understanding the situation?

[Pioneer]

"My recollection is a little vague, it would seem that last night I knocked myself out, rather clumsy I might add. Good thing I wasn't eaten, like I might have the night before."

"I don't know what time it was, it was late, and I was behind a painting. I had found several painting all with the castle in the background and all with men of stature standing over a hairy beast, almost as though the painting was a victory sign. Each of the paintings had a brass plaque which looked like a headstone, complete with dates. All except one."

"That painting was of a lighthouse keeper and his painting was a little different, he had a noose around the creatures neck. I was looking closely when this beast, a large hairy dog - but it stood upright, arrived. it was snarling and frothing at the mouth as though it was overcome with some evil force. It slowly approached me, as I were behind the painting. There was no where for me to go, the hole did not lead anywhere, and the beast was between the door and I."

"I thought I was going to die, and closed my eyes in fear to pray as I lay to meet my maker."

"While closed I heard the snarling get closer, and then there was a commotion, like a fight was going on. The room got vividly bright, as if some divine force had suddenly illuminated to room. It was too bright to see clearly, I shielded my eyes, but saw two figures locked in combat in the room. The first was the beast, it was losing - the second, :::sigh::: my savior, I did not recognize. The fight was short lived, and the light was suddenly gone, as if my savior had been an Angel that had completed it's work of guarding me, and had returned from whence it came from."

"I ventured out and found the body of Sailor Taskforce where the beast had fallen. It was like the beast had died, and had taken his soul, and now that the beast was dead, the evil spirit slowly left, and all that remained was the mortal body. The beast had overtaken my friend, and in death, he had been saved by some unknown force. Just as the guardian had saved mortal I."

Mookie sits in the courtyard grumbling at the situation...

“I was woken around 3 a.m. by something outside. I thought it might have been someone trying to break in. It was a chicken. At two in the morning! What is a chicken doing awake at this hour?”

To get it all right into my head.
Let's recollect:
A force protected you, and that force killed a beast (being TaskForce)
Right?

Mookie continues his grumbling...

"And how do these werewolves do that anyways? Say if me werewolf mate brought over dinner and it was just a foot and they sort of said, 'Have a bit.' I'd almost be a bit like, 'I want to know a bit about the person first...' I'd want an organic foot. I'd want to know the history of it. Did he have athlete's foot? How often did he change his socks? Just a little bit of something that goes, 'Yeah, this is a nice foot, it's worth eating.'
