New TWoS v2.2 Installer (testers needed+Steam)

I have uploaded new TWoS v2.2 installer to be tested primarily with the Steam version of the game.

Of course, comments of captains with regular version of the game are also welcome...

Also, it would be nice if someone with Steam account post this info on Steam/SH5 forum...

Thanks a lot. Can we upgrade from 2.1.2 or shall we need a clean install first ?

After some brief testing, everything seems to be working properly. The installation process is much more streamlined - well done.

I see the full installer. I'm not an Steam player.

Do you think in an update from 2.1.2 to 2.2 for users of 2.0 plus 2.1.2?

No, Installer is for clean SH5 installation...

You were able to update your game to official v1.2.0 before you started with TWoS installation, right?

Hello Everyone,

I purchased SH5 through steam and immediately noticed it was buggy. Found my way here through the steam community.

I'm guessing the solution to my problem will be a simple fix due to something I'm doing wrong. Keep in mind, I'm not a computer guy, so if you're going to ask me questions, you're going to have to dumb them down considerably.

I download and installed the TWoS v2.2 and followed along with the instructions in the pdf. Installation went just as tpredicted in the instructions. However when I try to run the "TWoS KSDCommander.exe" I get the following pop up "KSDCommander.exe must be located in the root folder of the game. The program will be closed."

So what do I do?

The root folder is where the SH5.exe is . Where ever you installed the game .
Default Steam path is :

LocalDisc C/Programfilesx86/Steam/SteamApps/Common/SilentHunter5

Do you have it in another location ?

I can feel a little wee dribbling down my leg as I download this. A little late (2019) but I've only just returned from a very long SHIII GWX mission. My beard is to my knees. :-)
