Default Couple of Questions

Refamiliarizing myself after long career in SH3:

1)Is Balaeo top upgrade? Looks like the Left out Tench Class? I'm guessing the advantage it has is crush depth/range>

2) At what poiint should I worry about CO2 toxity> 40% ? 50%?

In RL a co2 level of 4% or higher over almost any period can be fatal. No idea what the game thinks, but clearly it has its own idea of a survivable level. You can Google it for more info.

Balao is the best boat in the V1.5 stock game.

In the FOTRS-Ultimate mod, you can get a Tench class boat in early 1945.

Any compelling advantage to the Tench? Balaeo looks like it will be quite the boss.

1) The Tench had four additional torpedo reloads forward, a deeper test depth, greater range, and a quieter propulsion system. The high speed electric motors of previous classes required reduction gears to the shafts. Tench replaced those with low speed motors that didn't require reduction gears. Tench likely wasn't included in the stock game because it came out right before the end of the war. Only 10 managed to complete a war patrol.

2)If memory serves the game will kick you out of time compression at 90% CO2. The game measures the CO2 amount in percent of lethal dose, 100% being what it takes to asphyxiate the crew.
