Default Torpedo depth question.

So after the last few sessions we had, we have noticed big differences in enemy ships sinking times. Some go down in a handful of minutes, but one time it took an entire hour for a ship to sink. I always though the damage model in wolfpack isn't that complicated (yet), but that session made me wonder.
Does torpedo depth matter in this game like it does in silent hunter? Or can you hit different compartments or anything? What defines how much damage a ship takes and how fast it sinks? I always thought it was hit = kill and thats it for now. Seems i was wrong?

It is definitely one shot one kill in the code. Torpedo depth does matter, if set shallow they take a while to sink. But they will definitely sink.
