Yes, seriously.

I don't like cell phones, in fact, I hate them. Only used to receive confirmation codes for online transactions. Once I'm done, it's turned off.

I have a regular fixed-line(landline?) phone; people can reach me when I'm home, I don't want to be disturbed otherwise.

(btw my mom bought that for me 5 years ago because she thought I needed it, I don't have that bad taste. )

Neal, I have the Blackberry Storm.

Current deal is about $49 after $100 rebate on 2 year plan. Monthly access is about $30 for the phone, $20 for unlimited web and data.

Pros: One cell phone and one number, can take it world wide. The daughters can reach me in any country, I've used it it Europe, North America, Asia Australia and no problems. Add and drop international at about $10 a month as you travel. Cell, web, music, games, a word processor, great camera, video, voice navigation the world over, traffic reports, calender and address book.

Cons: the screen is a little iffy when you press down with a finger. You gotta get the right letter otherwise the auto word suggest will kick in (you can turn it off).

Options: get a leather carry case for it $10 to protect the face from the usual scratches.

I have a Motorola Razr V3X

have it for a couple of years now.
as long it works like it does now I have no need to change it.
not a heavy cellphone user, I only carry it around when I'm outdoors.

Using a Sony Ericsson W910i at the moment. Wouldn't go near a Blackberry, having spent the last 3 months fixing the buggers

I like this phone, it's got a nice big screen for watching the odd video, the Walkman music player sounds great, and the browser is pretty good. The bundled software is pretty good, but it's Sony, so there's about 12 different programs required :P

I have a Samsung SGH-E250V
I like it's design, It has large display and many good features (for it's age),
But it has only 13 mb user memory and some other minor problems, but I have it for almost 2 years now and it does what it's supposed to.

Samsung Jét

I was going for the Nokia 5800XM,but the guy in the store told me they break down alot, and he didnt want to sell me one.I bought my last 3 phones there and they never broke down once.

So i asked him what do you recommend,he said I-phone....not gonna happen.

So i asked him is there an alternative, and he advised me to buy the Samsung Jét...to be honest it was my second choice next to the Nokia 5800XM and i thought it was a slider phone, but its candybar..

Pro's

Fast cpu(fastest on the market at 800mhz plus a separate cpu for the screen)
Battery life
Divx,Xvid and Mpg4 support
Screen is just stunning
Sound is very good,supports 5.1
Good camera,great handycam mode
Touchscreen is great,no more buttons or sore fingers
Its light and comparably small
No 2 cent headphones, these are really high quality!

Con's

Stupid cube button serves no purpose
Screenlock button is in the wrong place and can be activated by light pressure, why not a slider button?
package does not include memory card
Handle with care phone(i'm with you Neal i actually have to take care of it)
Bad support for open-source software
Still have doubts about Samsung phones, its my first
Bit expensive compared to others

Overall i'm pretty satisfied,it can do anything i need a phone to do,i use my phone as a walkman, phone, camera thing and i sometimes look at my e-mail so overall i'm really happy with this one.

But i will allways love Sony-Ericsson(like the one above) the most i guess, but i really wanted touchscreen for its ergonomics,i allways get sore hands when i use a phone too long, not anymore since you tend to change hands alot with touchscreen.

Damn those touchscreen phones looks really good. I might have to go for one after I'm done with the one currently being repaired I also had my doubts on iPhone, but getting to play with one for half an hour evaporated most of them. The user interface is hands down the best I've used in any phone so far. Very intuitive, sleek and fast. The device itself might be technologically years behind others, but in practice the UI makes it up and then some. Now if it wasn't made by Apple and expensive as hell...

Arggh! I'm finding that the calendar events, you are limited to about 4 words Not cool, maybe there is a setting somewhere so I can enter
"Pick up a present for Natasha's birthday" instead of "pres tash bday"
