Several Proud Boys leaders have been convicted of Seditious Conspiracy although the group remains active and political. Meanwhile, Trump loses his lawsuit against The New York Times and three of their reporters over reporting tax fraud they won a Pulitzer prize for. He has been ordered to pay the NYT's legal fees.

What a loser.

What a crook.

Quote:
House subpoenas FBI file on Biden role in ‘criminal scheme’ as new whistleblower emerges

WASHINGTON — In a stunning development, the House Oversight Committee issued a subpoena Wednesday for an FBI file that a whistleblower said links President Biden to a “criminal scheme” involving “money for policy decisions” during his vice presidency.
The tip is a potential breakthrough for GOP investigators looking into Joe Biden’s role in his family’s business dealings in countries such as China, Mexico, Russia and Ukraine.
Republicans say the file pertains to potential wrongdoing by Joe Biden — rather than possible criminal activity by first son Hunter Biden or another relative that indirectly implicates the president.
The alleged corruption is believed to involve a country other than China, The Post understands. Two sources say the whistleblower is not the same person as the IRS agent who anonymously came forward last month to allege a coverup in the criminal investigation of the first son.
The document subpoenaed by the Oversight Committee is an FD-1023 informant report that was “created or modified in June 2020″ — months before Biden won the presidency— and must be supplied at a meeting on May 10, the subpoena says.

That's pretty short on fact and high on speculations. I'm going to put it down as performance art for now.

Kinda like the last six years of accusations against Trump being short on fact and high on speculations. Yet some just can't let go and keep posting about it.

Still waiting for all those low hanging fruit to turn. Any day now!

Oh look even more short on fact and high on speculations. GRAB SOME MORE POPCORN! This will be just like the previous six years. Political arguments kinda reminds me of the ebb and flow of tides. Only difference is the tides in nature have a purpose and a point for being. Any day now!

Trump is probably running 2024. Why how can he! Because all your arguments against were based on the same short on fact and high on speculation headlines.

Ex-CIA chief wrote Hunter Biden laptop ‘disinfo’ letter for Biden to use as ‘talking point’ during debate

By Victor Nava
May 5, 2023 1:03am Updated

https://nypost.com/2023/05/05/ex-cia...ampaign=nypost

Quote:
The ex-CIA chief who wrote the letter signed by 51 former intelligence officials attempting to discredit The Post’s report on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop told another former top intelligence official that he was drafting it as a “talking point” for Joe Biden to use during a debate with Donald Trump.

Former acting CIA director Michael Morell told fellow former CIA boss John Brennan in an Oct. 19, 2020, email – obtained by Just the News – that he was attempting to give Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign some ammunition to “push back on Trump” during the debate as he urged Brennan to sign on to the letter calling Hunter Biden’s laptop a possible Russian disinformation operation.

“Can I add your name to this list?” Morell asks Brennan in the email.

“Trying to give the campaign, particularly during the debate on [Oct. 22, 2020], a talking point to push back on Trump on this issue,” Morell explains, admitting the letter is to help Biden during his showdown with Trump.

To which, Brennan responded: “Ok, Michael, add my name to the list. Good initiative. Thanks for asking me to sign on.”

The smoking-gun email exchange shows that Brennan knew Morell’s political motivation before he signed on to the letter.

The Post learned on Thursday that Brennan will sit with members of the House subcommittee on the weaponization of the federal government for a transcribed interview related to the letter on May 11.

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, who also signed on to the letter, will appear for an interview before the panel on May 17, a source familiar with the plans told The Post.

Morell’s email also sheds light on other members of the US intelligence community who were asked to add their name to the project but didn’t.

“Will be adding Leon, Sue Gordon, Jeh Johnson, George, Lisa Monaco, and Mike Rogers (DIRNSA) today. And working on adding Dan Coats, Mike Rogers (HPSCI), and Tom Bossert,” Morell writes.

Of those officials Morell mentions, it appears that only former CIA Director Leon Panetta added his name to the letter.

The CIA’s former former Moscow station chief, Daniel Hoffman, told Fox News last week that he was also given the chance to sign the letter but he ultimately refused because there was “no evidence” of Russian involvement in Hunter Biden’s laptop scandal.

“It was not up to us to speculate. So I didn’t sign the letter. I typically don’t put my name to other people’s words,” Hoffman said.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who also leads the government weaponization subcommittee, revealed last month that Morell testified before his panel that he drafted the letter and that Secretary of State Antony Blinken – then a Biden campaign adviser – was the “impetus” behind the attempt to discredit The Post.

Jordan and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-Ohio) informed Blinken last week that they would be investigating his role in the production of the letter.

On the same day Morell’s email exchange with Brennan took place, Politico published a report on the letter and during Biden’s Oct. 22, 2020, debate against Trump, he used it to deflect accusations about his involvement in overseas influence-peddling schemes by claiming The Post had reported on “a Russian plant.”

Watching all the big gorillas on the block like J.P. Morgan & Chase, PNC, Bank of America gobbling up smaller banking institutions. I’m thinking they will be our new overlords the central banks that eventually usher in the CBDC. That 5% of adults who don’t have a bank account or the 13% that still use pay day loans and check cashing stores. They will finally have a bank account wether they like it or not.

We’re not alone or leading the way when it comes CBDC many other countries already CBDC pilot programs.

Anyway seems some businesses are already dumping paper too.

Reverse ATMs take bills, dispense cards as stores go cashless - Jennifer A. Kingson

https://www.axios.com/2023/04/24/rev...hless-payments

Quote:
As stores and restaurants attempt to go cashless, they're installing "reverse ATMs" that dispense stored-value cards in exchange for greenbacks.

Why it matters: More businesses are eschewing cash — a trend accelerated by the pandemic — but states and cities are passing laws banning them from doing so, in deference to people who don't have bank accounts or credit cards.

Handling cash is also a hassle for retailers, with problems including theft and constant runs to the bank.

Driving the news: Reverse ATMs — also known as cash-to-card kiosks — are quickly being installed in all manner of venues that want to go cashless without flouting the law or turning away the "unbanked," who represent 4.5% of Americans, per the FDIC.

Amusement parks, casinos and sports stadiums are taking the lead.
Reverse ATMs have been installed at most Major League Baseball and National Football League ballparks, plus cashless attractions like Hersheypark, Six Flags and many waterparks.

"Cash digitization" is the term that's catching on for converting cash to electronic currency — which is increasingly necessary as transit systems and other public accommodations also go cashless.

What they're saying: "This is a competitive business," says Naushervan Beg, a partner and business development executive at Wavetec, a Toronto-based company that sells reverse ATMs under the brand name Azimut.

"Cash carries a lot of friction, right?" he tells Axios. "Many venues are willing to pay for the machines because for them, the bigger pain point is taking the cash."
How it works: To use a reverse ATM, a customer feeds cash into a machine and gets a prepaid plastic card in return. (Here's a video.)

Most of the machines don't charge fees to buy the card, though some do (typically $5).

While some cards are venue-specific, generally you get a Visa or Mastercard that may or may not be reloadable.

When a customer uses the card, the merchant bears the interchange fee charged by Visa and Mastercard — just as they would with any other card under those brands.

Yes, but: Some of the cards carry "dormancy fees," such as a $3.95 charge if the card isn't used for more than three months — and it may be hard to use up the card balance if only a small amount is left.

The big picture: Cities including New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco and Philadelphia require merchants to accept cash — as do states such as New Jersey and Colorado — largely because of the potential harm to consumers who don't carry plastic.

The rate of "unbanked" households is highest among communities of color, lower-income earners and those with disabilities, according to the FDIC.
But the pandemic — which initially got people scared to handle bills and coins — accelerated the migration to electronic payments.

Between the lines: Airports, hotels, college campuses, cinemas, zoos, restaurants and retail shops are installing (or considering) reverse ATMs.

The machines have to be fast and easy to use, particularly at movie theaters, ballgames and other places where people go for a defined period of time.
"If I tell you your cash is no longer good and you have to go to the machine and convert it to cards, the experience has to be good," Beg tells Axios. "In the two-hour window you have to watch a game, you have added a few minutes."
By the numbers: A reverse ATM from Wavetec starts at $6,000 — plus extra for servicing the machine, which includes removing the cash and replenishing the cards.

Merchants can defray costs by running advertisements on the screens.
Zoom in: In New York City, restaurants like Slutty Vegan and Brooklyn Dumpling Shop are installing reverse ATMs to avoid the "dirtiness" of cash — and the potential for robbery, per the New York Post.

When Slutty Vegan's owner, Pinky Cole, ran a food truck, "we were making $15,000 to $20,000 a day, with five- to six-hour lines," she told the Post.
"Sometimes we had to have security because we were dealing with so much cash."
What's next: People without bank accounts have been adapting to mobile payment apps, which could mean that reverse ATMs are a bridge technology — or one that will soon be used to load a digital wallet.

As things progress, "it might not be a physical card" that you receive at a reverse ATM, Beg says. "You can have a virtual card on your smartphone."

Maybe Schiff Show is keeping him under wraps like he did that phantom Ukraine call whistleblower.

But Rockstar wasn't talking about just this story, rather he was talking about six years worth of failed nonstop and shill caterwauling about Trumps impending doom. Two impeachments and dozens of lesser failed political assassination attempts and you're still in here prognosticating that he's going down any day now but it just won't happen.

Biden defends son Hunter ahead of possible federal tax, gun charges
“My son has done nothing wrong,” Biden said in an interview with MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle, as the Justice Department conclude a criminal investigation.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/whi...rges-rcna83154

Quote:
Federal prosecutors are weighing whether to charge Hunter Biden with two misdemeanor counts for failure to file taxes, a single felony count of tax evasion related to a business expense for one year of taxes, and the gun charge, also a potential felony. Hunter Biden has said he has since reconciled delinquent tax filings.

The White House has dismissed allegations by an IRS special agent seeking whistleblower protections in the handling of the case. Aides insist that Biden has not been involved and that the president stands by his promise not to politicize the Justice Department.

Tides are the rise and fall of sea levels caused by the combined effects of the gravitational forces exerted by the Moon and are also caused by the Earth and Moon orbiting one another.

Pointless arguments are the rise and fall of emotions caused by the combined effects of forces exerted by headlines and are also caused by low intelligence gullible Team D and Team R fanboys orbiting one another.

It’s stupid arguments like when someone comments to make the rich pay their fair share. But then turns right around and demands taxpayers pay for their college education. Which is the primary reason tuitions cost are skyrocketing in the first place. Talk about shooting oneself in the foot.

Wouldn’t it be great if fanboys would stop talking for just for one minute and think before speaking nonsense.

"Any day now" are your words. The Georgia election interference investigation is expected to announce indictments late this summer. Currently, eight of the sixteen fake electors have agreed to cooperate since it was revealed their lawyer did not convey the immunity offers and was subject to be disqualified by the court. These eight persons are now providing testimony.

The NY OAG investigation into the Trump business tax fraud now has the judge ordering Trump and the Trump brats to turn over documents by May 15th. So far, for months, they have ignored the discovery requests and now they face contempt if they fail to produce documents, or reasons they can't under oath. This trial starts October 2nd (I think).

The Stormy Daniels trial will likely start in April 2024.

And then there is Jack Smith's investigations over Jan 6th and the stolen papers which is ongoing.

The E. Jean Carroll case is wrapping up. Trump made some lame excuse about having to cut short his business trip to Scotland and Ireland so he could testify in his defense on Friday, or Thursday, after his lawyer informed the judge Trump would not attend the trial at all. The judge has outsmarted Trump by offering Trump the rest of the weekend and Monday to show up even though that was not scheduled. Trump now can't complain he wasn't given a chance to testify on his behalf and ask for a mistrial.

It’s been reported in one study that another 186 banks could fail sooner rather than later. People are losing out as the rich insiders take the money and run to invest in money market accounts. Leaving the taxpayer to bailout the plebeians. Those depositors who ‘had’ more than $250,000 in their account lost it.

US banking crisis: Close to 190 banks could collapse, according to study
Story by Swapna Venugopal Ramaswamy, USA TODAY • Thursday

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/mark...dy/ar-AA18OzZ9

Quote:
With the failure of three regional banks since March, and another one teetering on the brink, will America soon see a cascade of bank failures?

Bloomberg reported Wednesday that San Francisco-based PacWest Bancorp is mulling a sale.

Last week, First Republic Bank became the third bank to collapse, the second-largest bank failure in U.S. history after Washington Mutual, which collapsed in 2008 amid the financial crisis.

Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.

After the demise of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank in March, a study on the fragility of the U.S. banking system found that 186 more banks are at risk of failure even if only half of their uninsured depositors (uninsured depositors stand to lose a part of their deposits if the bank fails, potentially giving them incentives to run) decide to withdraw their funds.

Uninsured deposits are customer deposits greater than the $250,000 FDIC deposit insurance.

Why are regional banks failing?

Regional banks are failing because the Federal Reserve’s aggressive interest rate hikes to tamp down inflation have eroded the value of bank assets such as government bonds and mortgage-backed securities.

Most bonds pay a fixed interest rate that becomes attractive when interest rates fall, driving up demand and the price of the bond. On the other hand, if interest rates rise, investors will no longer prefer the lower fixed interest rate paid by a bond, thus driving down its price.

Many banks increased their holdings of bonds during the pandemic, when deposits were plentiful but loan demand and yields were weak. For many banks, these unrealized losses will stay on paper. But others may face actual losses if they have to sell securities for liquidity or other reasons, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

“The recent declines in bank asset values very significantly increased the fragility of the U.S. banking system to uninsured depositor runs,” economists wrote in a recent paper published on the Social Science Research Network

Of course, this scenario would play out only if the government did nothing.

“So, our calculations suggest these banks are certainly at a potential risk of a run, absent other government intervention or recapitalization,” the economists wrote.

How did Silicon Valley Bank collapse?

In the case of the Santa Clara-based Silicon Valley Bank, which held most of its assets in U.S. government bonds, the market value of its bonds fell when interest rates started going up.

That’s because most bonds pay a fixed interest rate that becomes more attractive if interest rates fall, driving up demand and the price of the bond. But when interest rates rise, the lower fixed interest rate paid by a bond is no longer attractive to investors.

The timing coincided with the financial difficulties many of the banks’ customers – largely tech startups – were dealing with, forcing them to withdraw their deposits.

In addition, Silicon Valley Bank had a disproportional share of uninsured funding, with only 1% of banks having higher uninsured leverage, the paper notes. "Combined, losses and uninsured leverage provide incentives for an SVB uninsured depositor run."

A run on these banks could pose a risk to even insured depositors − those with $250,000 or less in the bank − as the FDIC’s deposit insurance fund starts incurring losses, the economists wrote.
