Default Greetings from Argentina.

Ahoy everyone!

Great to meet you all.
My name is Chris, I live with my girlfriend in Argentina but I'm from the UK.

Moved out to South America a couple of years ago.

I'm very new to the submarine simulation scene. I actually started this hobby through exploring wargaming. After giving CMANO another try I really got into it but found that I really liked the naval part, I'm not so interested in controlling wave after wave of aircraft. Submarine warfare particularly interested me, then I started reading about Dangerous Waters. And then I found this site!

I've been lucky, and in the summer sales I have been able to pick up at the Silent Hunter series 3-5 and Dangerous Waters, Sub Command and Cold Waters.

I prefer modern sub sims, but Silent Hunter has been really fun.

I'm not a 100% realism guy (yet!), as I am very new there is a whole lot to learn. But to give you an idea, I would like to explore a bit deeper than what you can do in Cold Waters. Although I really enjoy that game to relax!

The sonar/tma side of things really interests me, so Dangerous Waters and Sub Command have been great - I still have a lot of learning to do there as it's deep!! But have been watching the excellent series of tutorials by Fpz Chazly.

I would really like to get into this side of Silent Hunter - detecting possible contacts via hydrophone, plotting an intercept and firing solution using the tools on the map and periscope. But for the moment, that's a huge job!

Well, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi! Very pleased to be here.

Let's hope that we can get an Astute class sim very soon!

Best wishes,

Chris
