Default Ladder and Scope position correction (photos)

Long time pet peeves of mine were how basically from the Tambor-Tench classes, the same interior is used with no real differences. Frankly, it was laziness on UBI's part. Wonderful work by modders over the years have corrected many of the issues, such as Vickers03 with his wonderful interior overhauls and now adding additional compartments.

Anyways, this project started with a request to community to assistance in changing the placement of the ladder to the control room in the conning tower, as part of my TMO upgrade, which while have discovered is accurate for Balao Class (video from USS Bowfin below) which I found strange, as I have been on the Bowfin (although long ago) and could swear the ladder was not behind where the diving officer would stand but between the planesmen as in Gato. Anyways, the two Gato's have been on and numerous photos always show the ladder between the planesmen, so thanks to JeffGroves, we now have this.

I am researching for photos of Tambor/Gar control room(share them if have them, save me some time) and more on Balao and Tench but thinking perhaps the ladders were typically between the planesmen, then as part of the "minor internal differences" in the Gato/Balao the ladders were moved in the Balao Class. Factor trying to look into as well was if it varied based on who built the boat, since sometimes minor difference occurred based on where sub was constructed.

I may end up having separate interiors for Balao and Tench, depending on what can confirm about Tambor and Gar, them as well, since currently they all use the Gato interior.

Second, is the placement of the scopes. The scopes, when raised face the rear of the submarine. While minor, always bugged me as an immersion killer, majority of time scopes are facing forward. In an ideal world, the 3d model of scope would rotate based on the bearing the scope is pointed at, but we don't have them. Thanks again to JeffGroves, they have been rotated.

Of course , like anything with this sim, no leaves others thing to correct. When at GQ, the "XO"(lead slot in conning tower for crew, top left) places the XO behind the scope as in most cases would be to assist captain, with scope reversed, he now needs to be moved to correct position. Second is the TDC officer needs to be moved to the left so in front of the TDC. There is also an texture issue with the back of the attack scope since it was rotated, it's very dark.

Third is in the control room, need to move the crewman who's normal watch station is at the "desk" with the clock, and gauges in the starboard rear of control room, over to the port rear in front of the ballast controls. This slot is currently in the crew quarters, the first slot on the left of each watch. At GQ the ballast controls are already manned, just need to, if possible have them manned during normal watch.

Anyways, this will contribute to immersion and accuracy for the boats as part of upgrade to TMO. Player will feel some slight difference when using the various classes.

I think the dark color on the scopes may be a light placement as the UV's were not touched so the 3D objects use the exact same textures.
A way to check the lighting is to change the color of them to see where they are directed.

I'd need a map or something to show where the Guys need moved to.
That's not a big deal to do.

Not sure how to move one from one quarter to another.

Okay great, I will try to map it out.

If the character is already placed there during Battle Stations, you just need to change the condition of his appearance.

I couldn't find a correct one, unless you want to hear one and a half minutes of him saying "I'm a doctor, not a _____"... fill-in the blank.. lol
