The BfB-Mod is really a challange to master it.
I played the first version at its release last year.
Now I have new (better) PC for myselfe and I got a big problem I can't explain myselfe.

I have activated the following mod-order with JSMG:

Great_War_p1_Battle_For_Baltic_Ver_100
GW Baltika v1.03_path 1.3
History target Submarine GW Balt 1.03
Real Min GW Balt 1.03
Graf_mod_H_for_BfB 1.03
BFB Nomograph + Plotter
Russian Crew Voice
BFB English Campaign v2

Every time I want to start a new mission it just goes to the captain's office.
I can reequip my boat, crewmanagement, etc.
But when I try to start a mission I only get to the loading screen.
The mission loads for hours but nothing happens.
Other mods like Lurkers Operation Monsun work without any problems at all.

I tried different things up to deinstalling and reinstalling the whole game + addon an only loading the BfB mod-files from the list above. Same result. Mission doesn't load.

Any suggestions?

Btw:

How is the status of this project?
Nothing heard for a longe time.
- Push -

One and a half month later. Nobody any kind of idea?
Does someone know if the SOM group is still working on this amazing piece of work?

Hi moelliner,

I noticed you having same mods for baltic as me.
Difference is mine work without problems.

I do notice your order of mod activation is different...
I suggest changing the order and see.

Mine are: (working from memory, away for work no pc/sh4 acces)

1. Baltic 1.00
2. Baltika 1.03 path 1.3
3. Graf mod 1.03
4. Russian crew voice
5. History target submarine
6. Nomograph and plotter
7. english campaign

(I skipped real mine balt 1.03 because i ran into mines constantly...)

Else try with deactivating english campaign, then roll back until faulty mod is found-yes a long shot you may already have tried...

Good luck Trebb.

Doswiedanja Hotmanandre!

Could you be so kind to provide a link to it?
I tried to find it but cannot read cyrillic...

Thanks for this awesome mod!
I like it as it is one of the few complete "Total Conversions" Mod with: voice pack, music, captains cabin, crew uniforms, briefings ect.

This gives real "CCCP" feel

Cheers, Trebb.

Good news!
I noticed that in quick mission there is a cool sub with 6 fore and 2 aft torpedo tubes available, its name looks like (cyrillic):
"Tnm A cepnr I".
Could u make it available in career mode also? The sub is way too cool only to use in quick mission...

(My final wish would be to have an Pacific base, say Wladiwostok, to undertake patrols against the japanese from 1945 (or say 1943 hypothetical early warstart with japan). Using RSRD campaign layers, my simple thought was that a base would be all you need...but I am no modder.)

But, with an english version I would already be happy!

Doswiedanja, Trebb.

Good to see this mod moving apace!

@Hotmenadre: How about calling the English version "Great Patriotic War"? Anyone with enough knowledge should be able to tell that as the Russian name for WW2?

Here's a mockup of the intro screen that I've cooked up for my install:

Museum screen:

A few loading screens:

NOTE: No plans to release this unless the SOM group give the OK.

Mike.

Mike.
The error at present fashions has been admitted is renamed in:"Baltic Sea War v_1.03.1"
Cards of minefields and some zones at the ships are at present corrected. I will soon lay out fashions in English but without radiogramms.

Hi Hotmanandre,

Received and understood!

Here's a new mockup loading screen with the title changed to "Baltic Sea War" and an actual Baltic Fleet boat:

I also have versions of the screens without the logo on them, so I'll use those if I release them.

Mike.

Only Hotmanandre can tell us what's going on in shallow Baltic waters. He's probably the one who tries to support this version of the mod (by casting spells, voodoo dancing etc. ) because a new mod is under way and whole team is working on it. That's why there will be no major improvements and bug fixes for the Baltic mod, they'll appear in our next work, somewhere in boundless spaces of Subsim Dagon tried to announce it... there it is http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...21#post1636221
P.S. by the word "fashion" Hotmanandre probably meant a word "mod", thanks to Google translator
