Default Grrr - 1946 graphics settings!

I remember why I uninstalled 1946.

Stooopid graphics settings.

First issue - 1946 pays no attention to my GFX panel settings. So no forced AA/AF.

Second issue - I can't get perfect settings without crappy water. Whenever I set shader 2.0 to be used it defaults the water setting to 2. The water looks sh*t at this setting and I'd rather have it set to 1, even that looks better. I want to use shader 2.0 because it's the only way to have full AF to the horizon. I can't stand blurry landscapes.

Anyone know how to get full horizon AF/AA without using Shader 2.0?

Also, anyone know why 1946 pays absolutely no attention to the setting on my GFX card?

I'll post some caps later, aswell as my conf.ini settings.

Yeah, I don't really want perfect water. The water can be really crap for all I care, I just want perfect landscapes etc...but I can't seem to get it right.

Ah I see it now,

I have 16 x AA and 16 x AF enabled in me Nvidia CP
so I would like to test if the AF works when back at home.
havent really payed attention to it myself

I would like to know about that first screenshot, which map is that? and what alt where you on?

EDIT: are you online tonight? so we could take out the dusty J8A's for a Dogfight in the mountain map

The first screen is from the Battle Of Britain DCG campaign. I was prolly about 4500m, the same altitude in the second screenie too.

Can probably make it for about 9:30pm my time (10:30 yours I think).
