Default Better Vessel destruction Models

Good morning and Happy New Year!

Wolfpack has been a great game and I enjoy playing it. The developpers deserve full the credit.

However, I just wonder if the developpers would consider to improve the vessels explosions and sinking models. I think there would be some room for improvment. Just think about SH 5...

Let me know your thoughts,

regards,

PJK

Given that more often than not, the U-boat is below periscope depth when explosions occur, it seems to me it's the sounds that may eventually warrant addition - boiler explosions/collapsing bulkheads etc - rather than the appearance of sinkings/explosions? YMMV of course.

of course but if possible at all I would argue for role models like ships rolling asside before breaking in two, more explosions, more smoke, better sounds, etc. The ability to (visibly) "follow" the torpedo after is was sent to its destination would give to the game some added value....

P.S.: if possible I like watching my prey sinking.........

It's my understanding that the torpedoes modelled are electric, albeit with a rather longer typical range than even warmed electric torpedoes, and are accordingly wakeless, and solutions are only calculable for one speed. The steam-driven torpedoes had 3 possible speeds, with 3 possible ranges, (speed being inversely proportional to achievable range) and a rather greater maximum range than we have currently.
