Default Operation Monsun / Dark Waters v4

So, I am playing Dark Waters wich is based on OM.

Thing is... Where are the ships?

Whenever I go to my current objective, I never see anything over there.

Assuming I just have the worse luck, could somebody point out some areas where I got better chances to find ships?

Starting to feel like a game of following a dot on my map.

DW (who has OM campaign files) has hundreds of ships sailing all over the map.
Starting Sept 39, you should encounter plenty cargos unescorted all over.
My favorites spots remain Skagerrak, North Scotland, East and West England (along the coasts or further)
From time to time, dive and listen...
Impossible to miss them

Thanks.

For the laughs. I tried to take a shortcut by going through the south canal right under england. BIG MISTAKE.

They are not joking with the airforce over there! And, with virtually no depth to dive...

I didn't go down without a fight. Shot down 3 bombers and 2 fighters.

...and that was at war start...you’ll see in 42/43 it’s an other story...what you have seen in your canal is all over Great Britain and later on all over Atlantic
Not to say Mediterranean...
Again, as it was in RL, Allies air coverage was a deadly nightmare for U-Boats

Thanks again for the map. Got myself a 10t tanker. Had no escort so I used it as target practice with the canon.

Very appreciated. Now I can have some action going and practice my intercepts.

Default Ships

I wonder if cfg files are same than OM.
OM has many ships sailing at Baltic Sea.
Most of neutral,Finnish,Swedish,Lithuanian,Latvian etc.
Dark Waters none of them appeared.

Dark Waters v4,first merchant what i met was North of North Rona island.

Dark Waters uses the same campaign files as OM, with text-edited corrections for some ship calls... There is also a submarine layer and a few others for the area, depending upon the time frame. We'll double-check all of them for Fifi. Had you emptied the Save game folder prior to starting Dark Waters? Thanks.
