I realise this has been around for a while now, but I hope someone can help, I am trying to pan the periscope with 'A' and 'D' keys. It seems one of the mods I installed change some keys, but after remapping using this util only panning right works. I assigned keys for both left and right and added fast and slow via shift and ctrl respectively but the damn thing only pans right.

I messed around manually editing the commands.cfg, but that didn't help either, despite the commands looking correct.

You need to modify the last commands.cfg that is enabling previous ones from another mod. First disable the mod that has the last commands.cfg. Use keymapper, save changes, then renable the mod. Using Winmerge is good for comparing text files such as commands.cfg.

Yeah I knew that m8 but thanks, I found that the file overwriting commands.cfg had had a duplicate entry and it was this causing problems. It was from an old mod that I still had hanging around, grabbed commands.cfg from a newer mod and overwrote the bogus one and all is well.

Am I the only one who looses the crew sounds when using this?

The newly set commands works, but no crew affirmations even on the ones that had before???

No, I have not recognized I have lost sounds. In the commands.cfg, some files have a "Sound_0=ELO............. listing. Remapping only should not have affected that.

Let's see a modlist. Possibly you added a mod of sounds that overrides the stock versions.

Sorry for the necropost, but I'm having a issue with the movement keys. I unbound the movement keys from WASD and rebound them to the arrow keys. The up and right arrows work fine for moving forward and strafing right, but when I try to move back or left I move about an inch and then stop even if I hold down the button. So essentially the only way I can move to the left or backup is to repeatedly press the buttons so I keep stepping in that direction.

The only thing I have bound to left is Strafe_left, Shift+left is strafe_left_fast, and CTRL+left is rudder_to_port, Same thing for down, not sure what is causing it since the other two buttons work fine and I can't find any conflicts.

Any ideas?

Sounds like repeat key command was not migrated properly. There may be conflicts for using the arrow key elsewhere and it was still missed.

Use winmerge (in download\utilites section) and compare commands.cfg of WASD to commands.cfg with rebound to arrow keys.

Not sure what it was, I looked up another mod that uses the SH3 presets and looked in the cfg files for the values then just moved them over. They looked almost identical but for whatever reason it worked after I changed them.
