Default Upgrades disappearing

Hi!

I've recently finished my first patrol with my current carrier and I noticed that all the upgrades I've installed for my VIIB (better batteries and the KDB) have completely vanished. The side emblem on the other had stayed.
Is it because I installed these upgrades just before my first patrol?

I'm using SH3_via_steam + GWX3.0 + SHCommander3.2. Did I do something silly?

Anyone any idea?

Probably; it is a bad idea not to have a shakedown patrol before you start a full patrol. I believe this is covered in both the SH3CMDR readme and in the GWX3.0 readme.
RTFM.

Ok, I'll make a patrol without any upgrade.
One more question though: does changing the torpedo loadout count as "upgrade"? I don't trust those T2-s...

Yes; you don't need a long patrol for shakedown. Just leave the harbor and return.
GWX3.0 has added two shakedown patrol in August 1939; if you use these, the problem is solved.
No real boat would ever go on patrol without at least one shakedown cruise.
Torpedo upgrades before the first patrol are a no no.

Ok, I'll make my first patrol a shakedown cruise. No upgrades, no T2 to T1 torpedo switching. Thanks for the help.
Was this "feature" present in stock SH3, as well?

Stock bug to have your patrol screwed up on the first patrol. You would also lose all your "renown" for a successful patrol.

You don't even need to leave the port for your first patrol - just start it, then leave, "Dock at port" and you're done.

It's not a stock bug.
Never had my first patrol screwed up, and I have switched out torpedoes, and don't do harbor tours.

Strange... When I started my previous carrier in October, 1940 the fleet names were "1st", "2nd", and "7th/13th". Now that I started a carrier in August, 1939 the fleet names changed to their historical names. I suppose I did do something silly after all.

On the other hand, since there are no hostilities yet, I didn't install any "extra" on my boat. Who knows, maybe there won't be a war after all... Maybe Britain and France won't intervene when we and the soviets occupy Poland, it wouldn't be the first time after all (remember Bohemia?)...

It is an interrmittent bug that supposedly originated from the stock/vanilla game. That was so long ago it's hard to say with any high level of definity
