Ah, ok, that was more a general statement than directed at you personally.

It's the conclusion I came to comparing Arma to DR, though in hindsight it's not really fair towards DR since the game hasn't been released yet. It also looks like the version shown in the trailer is a console version, maybe the PC version brings back stuff like the floating aim and crosshair behaviour is dependant on difficulty.

The PC version will always be more complete.

Aye, we can agree on that.

It's the reason I moved to PC gaming; bigger level desings, better graphics, better controls (mouse for looking around, keyboard+stick for flightsim), etc.

Please tell me you didn't pay 20 bucks just to get a score...

What's the 3DMark score for just the CPU? What chipset is it running on?

Since hardly anyone I know runs Vista yet, or Windows 7, the scores have little meaning to me. I assume they are decent however.

My friend says the CPU score is not that great but that is due to the fact i have a DDR2 system and not a DDR3 system.
He has a similar system but he has DDR3 ram and the extreme version of my processor and his CPU score is over double of mine.

Good, it's not worth it.

Nah, that score is not comparable 'cause you enabled the feature tests. Look at the 3DMark score, it's 18519. If CPU is 14k and GPU 20k, you get 34k, not 18519. For the 3DMark score you just run GPU+CPU tests, though I don't know how scores from '06 compare to Vantage.

I'm curious 'cause I have the same CPU and DDR2 as well.
CPU came in at 4800 points when clocked to 3.4GHz.

Might as well get a new PSU while you're at it.

I'm considering the 275, but I guess I'll wait to see what's on offer by the end of the year. With a bit of luck, the old 8800GTS can still hack it.
