It reminds me of the way Steel Beasts Pro shaped up. Originally SBP was a training tool for the military pros only, and not before it was delivered to the military they decided to make it available for the public as well. - XP Reality Airbus A320 started 2003 for Airbus Industries as a professional EFIS trainer for realworld Airbus pilots, then grew into a complete simulation of the complete Aircraft - and now is an independant simulation from FS9, FS not taking its variables and calculate them within the FS environment, but exactly the other way around: the airbus is bending the FS environment to it'S needs, and replaces all it does not like. By what I read about it, in no way one should think of it in terms of just another addon for FS. FS is more the addon for the Airbus, prodiding the environment. they seem to break several technical "taboos" with this one.

So very possible I need to ask you indeed once it got released. Could still take some time, though.

Smart cockpit only gives the technical manual for each type.This is good for understanding how the aircraft systems work and how to interpret the displays.The Airbus also has other manuala.The most important is the flying manual.Its' chapters includes the aircraft and its system limitations,the normal procedures,procedures and techniques,a listing of all the ecam warnings and aircraft performance.
The A320 FMS is a whole manual in itself and also needs to be read to understand what the aircraft is doing.Smartcockpit has a link to this though it is the Smiths and not the more common Honeywell.

I will keep the project under close observation, yes. For the time being I just can give you the link to their website with forum information, plenty of screenshots (best panels I have ever seen in flight simming), and background information. It's all in the parallel thread on the Airbus I had set up yesterday.

Can't judge it from a professional perspective of course, but I found the Airbus FMS - as far as it was simulated in any FS module - always a bit more counter-intuitive compared to the honeywall as represented in the Level-D 767 or the PMDG 747. Needless to say I love both. And yes, even the simulated FMCs have separate manuals for them. for each of the planes I have three ringfolders of manuals and material.

and no, I do not have all of it in my head.

i fly on FS04 and X mainly flying A330's but its just a larger 320 same cockpit layout just bigger. nice planes are airbus

Nice nice nice. Last airliners of such compelxity I flew were the Dreamfleet 737 and Wilcon 767 both for FS2000 (with updates for FS2002).

Airbus is a different kettle of fish and would love to explore the differences.
