The Guys walking on air is just the animation running as programmed.
Move their attachment point to the main hull and they will vanish when the ship is split.

Default Ada Maru

Problem found and now testing correction, the P02 node was in the wrong place..
As propbeanie said, it was set on the wrong half of the ship...

March 24 1944.
Just had a weird encounter with an unsinkable kaga fleet carrier that was travelling at a leisurely 3 knot, it was on its lonesome so I put seven torpedoes in it, that wasn't the weird part though the pics will tell you more.
Ship was full of water.

No propeller movement.

Coffins?, I haven't seen this before, you guys are getting morbid, some therapy is probably needed.

Life boats not coffins. Did you hit the ship from both side or only one side? Sometimes you need to go around and hit it from the other side.

From all of the Submarine Patrol Reports I've read thus far for my research into "authentic" PhotoOp and other SpecOps, everyone of them thus far has reports from the commanding officer of "Torpedo tails sighted, turned to comb them" at least once, some multiple times. Here's a small clip from the Spearfish (SS-190) while off Kyushu in the early hours just before dawn on 9 September, 1943 (no initial specific hour mentioned):
"Same general location. Just before time for morning dive sound reported two torpedoes fired at us from 050° relative. Turned toward and dove. Nothing further sighted or heard. The sound man, an experienced 7th patrol operator, later described the noises as a large rush of air followed immediately by high whining noise of varying intensity, followed 10 seconds later by a similar set of noises.

0645(I) = Sighted two Chidori torpedo boats, in line of bearing, conducting echo ranging search on course 110 degrees (T), speed 9 knots. Avoided at periscope depth. They passed right over our morning diving spot on a course definitely not a traffic route...
"
Going by previous times, they were probably about 30 minutes before dawn, visibility poor, so the Chidori at 0645 were probably close by. Sounds like a sub shot at them about 545, withdrew, and then phoned home and called for reinforcements. Every boat seems to have been DF'd at least once, and seen by airplanes every patrol at least once. Unfortunately, every one of them also has at least one story about being fired upon by friendly forces, even after the beginnings of IFF - and even while in "safe" zones...
I repeated the mission from the last CTD. No issue. New message does come in from 80nm out so the message coming in and me being at max time compression is most likely what crashed it.

Did see another issue. A Medium Raked Bow split sitting dead in the water showing 8 knots movement. I even pulled up and came to zero knots to make sure it wasn't moving. Sat there an hour it moved 10 feet. I came to the surface and used the deck gun on it. As soon as I moved up about 20 feet from periscope depth the speed dropped to zero. I used the periscope to monitor it and the only change was my depth from 60 to 40.

By the way on a dark night in November it only takes about 50 deck hits to sink a Wakatake.

You ever play TMO? The infantry men in-port will walk off the docks!

It happens to anyone who's added content to the stock game....could be a Stock game issue anyway.

Everything is looking & working correctly this end... Maybe a spawn issue.

Moonlight, the CV is sunk, and it looks like maybe you went below bedrock to get your picture of the screws... Shallow water, and they won't manage to get all the way below. The game won't show them sunk either.

No difference in the early Ultimate versions compared to the latest (except for adding the Moon, which had been found to be eliminated by the original FOTRS ).

Default look at this poor helmsman

this poor helmsman took it in the head from steam leak from an electrical panel.
he had to man his station like that for two weeks.

Default bouncing deck gun

this is a shot of a sinking Aden Maru Passenger Cargo Merchant.
the forward gun and its mount seem to have come loose due to the torpedo. they kept bouncing up and down...seemingly no longer connected to the deck. but they never moved forward or backward as the ship sank....only up and down.

The dock is a configuration thing, and it might be that I'll have to find a different dock to substitute there at Takanabe. We have not visited that port except maybe to move RGG spawn sites...

That gun mount might be attached to the wrong part of the dat also. Just like the "sunshine walkers" (thanks for the link merc4ulfate!), the gun is not on the bow portion apparently...

the gun thing was pretty funny. you should have seen it live. the forward part of the ship is bobbing up and down and there are the gun and its mount bouncing up and down, disconnected from each other and the ship, but in sync....like they were on a trampoline. i wish i could have captured THAT.

Did you get it working OK?

You might want to look at the SH4 Corruption Management System if you want to install multiple copies of SH4. I'm currently using multiple installs including TMO.RSRD.OTC, Ralles Mod Soup, Wolves of the Pacific Vanilla, and FOTRSU .71.

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...ion+management
Working on that atm and taking it very slowly indeed. I've broken other games "Mowas 2, and CoH 2 come to mind" totally with mods so I'm not rushing it.

Update: I tried using JSGME to install it but it keeps crashing instead of installing so I'm stumped.
