Default Color of enemy ships

Normally, enemy merchant icons on the Nav Chart (F5) are in red color. However, if one zooms in to where one can see the ships shiloute, some of the enemy merchants are in black color.

Any special reason for this? Just wondering ...

Yes. However, I have never seen the white one. I was wondering, why some enemy ships are red and others black ...

I don't know why the UBIsoft team did that. Most of the supermods make all ships of any nationality grey, just so you can't use the colors on the chart to tell what nation they belong to. To me that's the realistic way to go.

Yes, except, when a ship is sighted by the bridge watch and it is enemy ship, the L.I. always goes into Battle Stations position, behind the planes men ;-)

Anvar1061 has shown the reason.
And when look into the "Signature" another reason is shown.
GWX v3.0 does not use colored icons, as the files are all black.
CCoM use a mixture of black and white files, which results to not colored and colored icons ingame.

Greetings.
