Default charts of deep sea fishing boat in the North Sea

I uploaded on mediafire a scan of a Kriegsmarine atlas of my collection, very interesting, showing the areas of concentration of fishing vessels in the North sea and north-east Atlantic ocean, for each European nation .. .. ... relevant informations for the U-Boot and Riders.

If you want play a real simulation ... use it to see where vassels usually salied

M.Dv.Nr.496 Monatskarten der deutschen Hochseefischerei in der Nordsee und bei Island

-> download standard quality (about 14 Mb)
or
-> download high quality (about 107 Mb)

and enyoy yourself ;-)

Very interesting.
I´m a bit disappointed not seeing more about fishing vessels from Faroe Island, giving that our vessels were sailing under our own flag during the second war, even thou we were/are part of Denmark.

Most of the fishing was round Iceland and Greenland and we contributed a considerably amount to the British food supply.

There were many casualty's even thou most of the vessels were wooden ships moving by sail and unarmed.

Never the less it is interesting reading

PS
You probably can guess that I´m from Faroe Island.... Now living in Denmark :-)

I really look forward to the day we get some beautiful Schooners or other sailing ships into SH5. I would'nt shoot them, being a sailor myself.
