I've been playing them since I was old enough to use a computer. Though I wouldn't exactly consider myself a hardcore flight simmer.

AOT Pacifc/Europe
Janes WWII Fighters/FA-18
CFS 1, 2, and 3
EAW
B-17
BoB II
Il-2+Addons

Eh, who am I kiddin'.....:rotfl:

Used to play Falcon 4 in its various incarnations, including Allied Force.
Don't have the time nowadays to devote to such a complex sim.

I still play IL-2 however I haven't picked it up in awhile.... maybe tonight.

The mission in PF where you are the IJN trying to locate and bomb a US sub sounds fun.

When I was 12, my dad bought me 2 computer games for his Atari ST: Sublogic Flight Simulator 2 and Epyx Sub Battle Simulator. Ever since then it's been simulations and strategy games almost exclusively

For a few years I was in an online squad that flies IL-2, but somehow I never really got into IL-2, or online flying. I prefer single player campaigns, and this seems to be a weak point in titles like IL-2 or Lomac.

Sims I fly now:
- Battle of Britain 2
- MiG Alley (I can't let it this oldie go)
- Falcon 4AF
- Wings over Vietnam
- FS9

I'll pick up B-17II again, the flying itself was a bit of a disappoitment, but the campaign and the atmosphere during missions was excellent.

Reporting in. I'm more of a combat flight simmer than a naval one. Used to play IL-2 Sturmovik a lot until some bright minds decided to place unrealistic jets in 1946 which killed off all excitement for me. I'm eagerly awaiting the same developers Battle of Britain sim. I heard it'll give rigs a run for their money. I started off with Jane's IAF (still the best for me), then MSCFS 2, MiG Alley, Lock-On, and IL-2 Series.

I still have Janes WWII Fighters on my current machine, and MS Combat Flight Sim, although I haven't fired up either in some time now.

My all time favorite flight sim was Janes USAF though.

I also used to have DiD's F22 ADF and F22 Total Air War, but gave those CDs away some time ago. And I flew B-17: The Mighty Eighth too.

It's been AGES since I played a Flight Simulator! Used to love them though, especially the Jane's series: F15, USAF, F/A18, WWII Fighters...great games! A couple of broken joysticks can attest to that

Coincidentally, a friend of mine let me borrow his FSX yesterday, but I still haven't installed it. First I had to clear up my crammed-up hard drive, then I discovered (the hard way) that I need SP2 to run it...which I haven't! And with no internet connection at home, all I could do was wait until I got to work today and download from here. Which I did...the english version, which will not install on greek Windoze I'm on a roll! :rotfl:

IL-2: 1946.

It's been a few months but it's my favorite flight sim and I tend to jump around a lot in different aircraft in quick missions. I'm still doing a Zero pilot career.

I flew il-2 PF quite a bit. Offline, and online mostly on Zekes vs Wildcats as well as the odd coop.

I too was annoyed at 1946. It wasn't the inclusion of the fantasy BS planes alone that pissed me off, it was that the same guys who put it out were responsible for PF in the first place, and they did such a godawful job of it. I hadn't played in a while until I found that some of the most glaring issues could and were being taken care of by the players.

Now I'm interested in il-2 again since I can fly over New Georgia, Vella Lavella, and Bouganville.
