Operation Sea Krait - Fiji Mission
Hi guys,
Here is my second complete mission - Operation Sea Krait. It's Friday, 19 May, 2000. John Howard is the Australian Prime Minister, Destiny's Child's Say My Name is number one on the Australian charts and the top movie at the box office is Gladiator. This morning, in Fiji's capital, Suva, there have been protests by indigenous Fijians against the government, which is led by Fiji's first prime minister of Indian heritage. You're the Captain of the Collins Class submarine, HMAS Waller (SSG-75), and during your transit to the RIMPAC 2000 exercises in Hawaii, you've been granted a port visit to Suva. You and your officers will be attending a cocktail party at the Australian Embassy tonight. NOTES. This mission is based loosely on the May 2000 Fiji Coup. It's fictitious though because no foreign powers intervened in the political crisis. This one has more 'shooting' in it, compared to my Myanmar mission. It's roughly 3 days of reconnaissance and covert missions, 3 days of a 'shooting war'. For this mission, you will need to take 1-4 naval mines. This is a long mission - saving regularly is recommended. Possible Bug Issue There seems to sometimes be lockups/CTDs on 'Day 4' (23/5/00), between 2030 and 2100. I've spent two days trying to find the bug. It works if you play this section without time acceleration on. If you find the bug (I assume it's with a trigger or script), please let me know! This mission was made with RA Mod version 1.39. Link at the Subsim Download Section: https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/dow...o=file&id=5805 Constructive feedback welcome via the Subsim Forums. Cheers guys, Stew

Why you again made scenario for so obsolete RA version? RA 1.39 was released at beginning of 2015.
I noticed missions for earlier RA versions aren't 100% compatibile with newest releases. For example sensors sensitiveness, AI behavior, ship systems (like AEGIS) was changed several times. It means: AI platforms reactions could be completly different than you desinged. Im afraid nobody uses RA 1.39 today. My scenarios designed for MP many times had to be rebuilded for newer releases. So probability your "new" scenario will work fine under RA 1.50 is very low. |

Thanks guys.
I've downloaded RA 1.50 and will check for compatibility issues over the next few days. Cheers Stew

Welcome back!
It's absolutely good 2 C U so 'agreeable' after an 11 year silent run!
