Default Am I missing something about the ASW missiles?

Ohoy there!

I have a question about the ASW and Stallion missiles. Are they bugged or am I missing something? I have fired about 50 of this but I have NEVER been able to get them to lock on and pursue an enemy sub.

I've tried everything: AI fire crew both on and of, enganging from the map screen both with and without show truth, designating to contact in fire control screen, manual snapshot input etc. The result is always the same.

What happens is that torpedo droppes in to the ocean on top or next to the enemy sub and starts circeling without ever locking on to the sub.

Am I doing something wrong or are the missiles bugged?
