Weather generator
Good morning (or evening).
I've been searching the legacy DL and other places for a fantastic little program for SHIII that randomized the weather at the start of your patrol based on the time of year. I recently had the urge to take the ol' girl out for a spin in the Atlantic, thanks a lot Tom Hanks... Anyways, glad to see this place is still going strong. Sad to see the Wolves at War crew seems to have closed up shop.

WaW lives on in memory only and fond ones they are. That was a great group back in the day.

Thanks Anvar, that second link was the one I remembered.
Von, I'm pretty sure you were my commander for the second campaign. I was Philipp Thomsen over there.

SH3 Weather has been buggy for me. It causes immediate crash dives to 1000m upon loading.
Take some time and read this thread. I would suggest using h.sie's or Stiebler's weather fix. They take time to add on, but there are other things in those patches that make it worth it. Last edited by rudewarrior; 03-10-20 at 01:59 PM. Reason: Incorrect crash dive depth. |

I use the Stiebler weather fix and I have different weather all the time, including fog and heavy weather. Granted the highest you can get is 6 m/s since I am near a port, but that is the highest you get anyway.
