Default Best of SUBSIM 2021

Hi all mates:

When will start the votation for the Best of the Year 2021?

I have some serious candidates...I think they will be winners...

Many thanks

Hi fitzcarraldo. I'd like to nominate tmccarthy for his thought provoking documentary posts in General Topics. They're very entertaining and a pleasure to watch and make Subsim likewise a pleasure to visit, in an otherwise hostile world.

And seeing as I've "got the stage", I'd also like to nominate Commander Wallace for an "overall nice guy award" if there is such an award. Guys like him really balance the place out and bring much needed stability at times.

Quite possibly but Neal will decide. Possibly too close to Christmas now as well

< assuming such Pandemi Interuptus &/or a busy X-mas season, I made a few nominations using the report button as is permissable:

You can also use this to nominate a Best of Subsim contender; please include the category (funniest, most helpful, best modder, etc.)

Using the expedite way explained by Aktungbby, I made these first, partial, nominations:

Two absolute nominations:

Bubblehead1980, for TMO BH Edition.

Vickers03 (old master), for the sub interior mods for SH4.

Special mentions for their great modding work:

U-190, for a lot of very useful and nice mods for SH5.

The FOTRSU Team, for his constant work and support.

Fifi, for his great improvements of old mods for SH3.

Most helpful member of the Year 2021:

Propbeanie, the "our man in all the threads", supporting all

Special mentions for most helpful members:

KaleunMarco

Aktungbby

Fifi

Mad Mardigan

SUBSIM Facebook best poster of 2021:

Jason Jara, for his ethernal journeys in all the seas with uboats and armed cruisers, lifeboats, sampans, etc....

SUBSIM Best funny Facebook poster 2021:

Marcel Lougheed, for his surrealistic posts...

Best SUBSIM site supporting and moderator member:

Jimbuna. For ever.

Best Thread of the Year 2021:

Nicely done, Fitz.

Any nomination, simply follow his example. Will begin the process at the start of the new year.

That seconds my own nomination of U-190 ...he certainly 'encompasses' what good, useful, persistent modding is all about.!

There's one person I would recommend to the title best subsimmer 2021.

Skybird.

Reason
His effort to tell us how important it is to stay healthy and have a strong body defence by eating the correct vitamins and minerals and how important it is to take the vaccine in our Wuhan-thread.

(of course most of you may have an another opinion)

Markus

Do I get a special mention since I serve my country as a Seaman Apprentice in the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps????
The job comes with many hazards, the worst one being developing a God-complex and thinking you're better than everyone since you can do all the cool stuff they dream about. But the ladies love a guy in uniform..so maybe it ain't that bad.

(just kidding, of course)

I think Eichy gets a reward for being such a pal on the server, and Reece too. They should not be forgotten!

I think I would second this as Skybird puts a lot of time in reading, writing and posting articles here.

As usual, it's really hard to pick and nominate people as so many add to Subsim in various and unique ways.

I would add Catfish for his many and varied entries in the Music thread. Catfish also adds a lot in various other threads that really makes one think.

I would also add Eisenwurst for his awesome musical posts. One never knows what Eisenwurst will post there. They can be great, quirky and just generally fun musical videos. This adds the fun factor here.

Mapuc ( Markus ) for his many contributions in his posting and all the information he presents in the forums.

Of course JimBuna as Moderator for his awesome posts and contributions and generally keeping things on an even Keel.

I will defer to our other members on the modding and Facebook posts as I know little of them.

This list is by no means complete and I will have more as I think on it.
