Default SH4: Trigger Maru 2.5 Out of Fuel

Heyo Mateys,

Well, I screwed up my planning and ran out of fuel
84 miles west of Broome base in Western Australia. I'm
out of diesel, and out of Batteries. I tried the tweak
the gamesettings.cfg to change realistic fuel to false, but
it didn't help. Anyone have any ideas aside from start
a new campaign?

Did you edit the GameplaySettings in your most recent Save folders? The battery in most mods does not run completely out. You might only make one knot, tops, but at least you keep moving. Might take a few days, but submerge and run on battery until you start getting CO2 poisoning, surface, clear the air, then do it again. Repeat ad nauseum...

I do have saves upstream of course, but I prefer not to have to revert to them unless I really screw up. If I can't find a way around it, I'll have to.

LOL In an old MP Space game Everchron, we used to do this run all the time, people running out of fuel trying to get back to SOL. No such luck here.

I did not. I will look into that. In TM2.5 submerged on battery I had 0 knots
at all power settings. So guess it's not working.

My current TMO settings:

Because ...

As much as I would like to have the added realism of managing fuel use I don't like the unrealistic fuel use. (Getting to your patrol area - even with refueling on the way - shouldn't result in running out of fuel even when you turn around right then and there to go back to base.)

My crew is skilled at running the TDC and charting stuff.

External view is nice for screen shots.

Current mod set:

Lots of fun. Definitely immersive. No CTDs.
