Default Crew only see ships at 8000Km / MEP6

I'm using V16 patch + MEP6, I noticed crew is only able to see ships at 8Km of distance as maximum, however the ship is clearly visible at 10Km/12Km. Is there any file I can modify to increase this range?

Also are you using one of the mega-mods and if so, did you install the sensor file for MEP 6 with it ?

Hi, I'm not using any mega-mods. I prefer keep my installation as light as possible.

I was thinking that the problem would be solved using the "stock" AI_sensors.dat included with MEP6 installation, but it only modifies the conditions an enemy ship sees you.

I'm looking for a software to edit the .dat files, how could I do?
