Default ?? Question About Ship Funnel Smoke Files ??

This sounds like it would be a very simple operation, but I'm stumped.

RFB's ship funnel smoke is one of the only things I don't like about the mod, particularly for oil burning ships. IMO the default funnel smoke just looks better, without the proliferating "black cotton puffs" that are so common in RFB's smoke.

Anyway, I want to copy the default ship funnel smoke (textures and any associated animation properties) from my vanilla SH4 installation, to replace the ship funnel smoke in my RFB installation. A while back I copied what I thought were the necessary files but saw no change when running the sim.

Again, for funnel smoke only, not smoke from fires. "If" they are separate things, that is.

Default Funnel Smoke

You might try the mod: different_smoke_merchants_warships.z

Apparently it changes the funnel smoke depending on the type and age of the vessel.

Once downloaded, you need to select the proper mod file to use. Stock, RFB & TMO need different files.

Since I use Webster's GFO mod, I selected: STOCK_different_smoke_Websters_Maneuver

I hope this is helpful.
