a quik report of yesterdays fight:

I was chasing Kratos for a while and I had enough of his evasion action
so I went full throttle with my Tempest going 540km/h and I got a clean shot at him..blazed my 20mms...GOT HIM YEAAAAH! now just after that ''foooooock thats toooo close!!!!'' cliped my wing and down I went with him yelling the thing mentioned above

after that I had a little fight with Fincuan nailing him in a MustangIII (fast aircraft I tell ya) but I got him smoking and I blacked out resulting crashing into the ground.

then I took a B25 and anounced that this is my last sortie..and gave everyone a free shot at my B25 (well free...they get 50 calls in return)

first attempt: Oberon in a 262 (how the hell did he take off in that...normally he creates instant BBQ's on the ground )
anyhow..I saw him on my six closing.
now 1 sec burst of that 262 and I'm in pieces, but I managed to get a great shot at both his engines and his cockpit killing the pilot.

2nd attempt: Fincuan in his Mustang, he dived in to ram me and got his engine and the jackpot instant mid-air explosion A Fin going out with a blast :rotfl:

3th Attempt: Kratos in a spitfire....results : 3 board gunners dead (rear, top, side-right) left engine heavily damaged, right engine failing about, fuel tank on fire, which after the 2nd time blew up and ripped my wing off.

******* hell I'm stupid!

Just realised it now after reading Hunter's post!

I think it would be appropriate (or whatsamacallit) to say that only the stock IL2 planes should be used, AFAIK Mustang isnt flyable without the soundmod. (or then I'm just blind, hairy S.O.B. who should REALLY think of quitting masturbation... :hmm

Are we flying tonight? I'm just too wasted(tired that is) to go drinking anymore after a hard day of climbing, so I might as well take the Mustang for another ramming attempt

Hunter's was report from yesterday was spot on. It was nice to fly against humans for a change, so that one won't adapt too much to the AIs tactics.

After we quit I jumped on Hyperlobby for a couple of sorties. First was Emils vs. Spits and Hurris with mostly humans, but AI filling in the empty slots. Here our coops with the Emil really showed: I downed one Spit(human) and two Hurris(human&AI) without getting a scratch. Then we did a couple of early Pacific sorties with SBDs and F4Fs. The flying distances were ok and the sorties were actually quite fun, so maybe we shouldn't scrap carrier aviation just yet.

Heh heh heh, getting that 262 off the ground wasn't easy. Most of the fires around our airfield were caused by me I really wasn't aim to shoot you down, my aim was too terrible for that, all evening my joystick was pulling to the right, made piloting the Spit a bloody nightmare, I tried to counter as usual with left rudder but bah, it didn't work. Anyway, my plan was to ram you out of the sky but you sniped the cockpit before I hit you and my body must have slumped over the stick and the 262 dived below you.

I took the Lerche for a spin and decided to buzz you several times, and very nearly unintentionally collided with you

Anyway, if there is a flight tonight I might not be joining, got BF2, and STALKER to have a look at.

A single burst from the 262 can turn anything into a flaming pile of scrap, that's what I like about that plane

@Oberon
You must use the throttle very carefully in every jet in Il2. No quick changes!

I think it just applies to german jets.

Try to quickly change the throttle in the YP-80 and you go either boom or it will become very quite in your plane. Just depends on the direction.

Would you gents have any objection to an aussie nub joining one night and checking if its playable with his ping?? If you play at 2100GMT, thats a lovely early morning for me but I wouldn't mind having a bit of a crack..

Come on in, I don't think aynone minds if your ping isn't something completely outrageous(otherwise Dowly will move onto Mexican servers).
I've played Arma with Aussies with a ping of 150-250 ms, which isn't all that bad if it's about the same in IL2.
