Default How to use IL2 DCG/DGEN

Good thread to put questions and tips into.

I'll start.:p

Why do I keep getting 'Mission Complete' when just starting a patrol?

If by patrol you mean a CAP mission, it could be that you're close enough to the CAP objective already and it is counted...

Maybe. I've just played 2 other DCG patrols as part of my campaign and they have all said 'Mission completed' just as I'm taxiing to take off. As far as I can see this must be a side affect of DCG as my objectives are at least 30-40 flight time away.

It can't actually mean anything as I died in the last patrol and the mission was a failure. So I suppose it doesn't matter.

IIRC, the 'Mission Complete' text is normal as IL2DCG doesnt calculate the possible frontline changes by the IL2 default mission objectives, but instead it counts how many ground units, bridges etc. have been destroyed/defended on your/enemy's side of the line.
