Another one: Do you conduct many hours/days long convoy attacks that would have been impossible for any sub crew in terms of physical and mental endurance ?
Only pertaining to attacking a convoy, not being attacked by escorts.

Another one: Do you conduct periscope attacks via the higher magnification setting of the scope or use only the the lower magnification for the actual attack per historical doctrine ?
Computer screen view point vs. real life may come into play here though ?

I might add:

- Are you always using Impact torpedoes from 1939 on? SOP was to use Magnetic torpedoes until expressedly ordered not to do so by BdU around the Norwegian campaign. But in 1939 it was standard to use Magnetic settings; Impact was used in a specific set of circumstances like rougher weathers.

This is a very complicated topic - I plan on laying dates out and guidance to accurately follow it.

Aside of any torpedo issue, I'd love to know when historically when to use Magnetic versus Impact settings.
