Installing German voices, english text in steam?

I've been told i can have german voices if i choose them during the installation, but i have the steam version and the game just..... installs.

How do i configure my installation in steam?

I think this how it goes.

Go to this folder (might be slightly different depending on version of Windows):
C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\LngGameData\Voices\German\Data\Sound\Speech

Take all of those folders in there and put them in:
C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Sound\Speech

Choose to overwrite.

To be safe, backup the Speech folder before you overwrite its contents.

Move the english ones to a different folder. Do NOT overwrite. There are more audio files in the english folder than in the german folder.

English voice folder -> 7,841 files
German -> 3,987 files

If you just simply overwrite you will still hear some english clips. Trust me, i've already made that mistake.

Anyway, all of the localization stuff (speech, subtitles, pictures etc) are already installed. They are all located here: SH5\Data\LngGameData

The german voice files are here:
SH5\data\LngGameData\Voices\German\data\sound\spee ch

make english folders in the same place
SH5\data\LgnGameData\Voices\English\data\sound\spe ech

Move your current english files from SH5\Data\Sound\Speech to this folder.

Then move the german ones over.

done.

Suppose you install a German voice-pack mod using JSGME, it automatically puts the files in the correct place?
