I'm astonished to say it simple.

Saw an issue in the Danish news some hours ago.

The reporter, expert on American politics was visiting Georgia where he spoke to people. Some Dem, but mostly Rep supporters.

When I heard what they said I was astonished that they have such a strong belief.
As it says "Hope is the last thing that leaves the human"

They are still hoping for a miracle.

@Cybermat...

It was 630,000 dead, and freedom of speech is allowed in the US as far as statues go. But socialists, liberals, and communists don’t understand free speech...

Unless they are “peacefully rioting” beating people up who don’t agree with them, and burning their own cities down while killing more innocent people in the name of one criminal turd that died due to high dosages of meth and fentynol, not police brutality.

::mic drop::

Thank you Cleveland!!! I’ll be here all weekend!!

Oh, only 630,000, that's okay then. Tearing down racist idolatry is also freedom of speech if erecting them is freedom of speech. Republican wannabe militias just don't understand that.

Grow up.

Er, um, you do know you're talking about Trump here? The Madness of Queen Donnie? The guy is such a flake and such a drama queen I wouldn't put anything past him; it is interesting that his first thing to do on leaving office is a trip outside the US; I wonder if it has less to do with golf and more to do with the very real possibility of criminal indictments and/or charges coming down from states like NY, and now, possibly, Georgia; he may be able to weasel out of Federal charges if he does something like resign on the last day of his tenure and get Pence to pardon him before President Biden gets in (I really think there is very little chance SCOTUS would ever look or decide favorably on any President giving himself a pardon for criminal acts); once Trump is indicted/charged in a stste court, prosecutors could move to have Trump surrender his passport, blocking any legal attempt by Trump to escape trial; who knows?; maybe Trump wants to confer in the UK with Assange to see if Donnie can get asylum in some foreign embassy/consulate there; or, maybe, its because Scotland is a relatively short hop to Moscow where his butt-buddy Vlad can give him shelter from the storm...

One thing that did happen just before Xmas, and went unnoticed in the din of Trump's whining and bleating, and, also, with wider concerns over Covid, was the sudden 'resignations' of two of Trump's personal bankers from Deutsche Bank (DB), the only major bank still doing business with the Great Loser; he has burned all the other major banks so often, none will touch his business, corporate or personal...

Trump’s longtime personal bankers resign from Deutsche Bank --

https://www.marketwatch.com/story/tr...nk-11608697069

The story of Trump and DB is the story of a remarkably corrupt and highly suspicious relationship between DB and Trump; DB had been accused of and found to be involved in money laundering for criminal activities and shady personal individual transactions at just the same time Trump was taken on as a customer, reportedly upon the referral of a Russian oligarch whom Trump was trying to persuade to assist Trump on some of his Russian real estate ventures; the oligarch in question also was a target of the investigation by international banking authorities for money laundering; of the two personal bankers for Trump at DB, Vrablic is the one who appears to have had contact with some of the shadier DB clients in the past and up to her 'resignation', including Trump and Kushner, and has assisted them in some of their highly questionable business transactions; Vrbalic even engineered a bailout of Trump when the the DB real Estate division Trump make a USD $40,000,000 penalty payment on a one of his typically severely defaulted loans,and, how did Vrbalic help out Trump?; by making a loan to Trump, as his personal banker, with DB funds, of USD $40,000,000 so Trump could pay the DB Real Estate division's penalty charges; it is amazing DB didn't put the kibosh on such a blatant book-cooking scheme, but, then again, DB has a history of not being the most ethical, honest, or scrupulous of banks when it comes to their shady clientele; now that the several other shoes are about to drop once Queen Don is ousted, DB and other entities and persons seem to be in the market to shed any connections to Trump that may (and, in some case, surely) will come back to bite them...

Is Donald Trump's Dark Russian Secret Hiding in Deutsche Bank's Vaults? --

Deutsche Bank Is The 'Rosetta Stone' To Unlock Trump Finances, Journalist Says --

https://www.kcur.org/2019-05-10/deut...ournalist-says

A lot of the information about Trump and DB was known before he started his run for office in 2015;; when he announced and was certified as the GOP candidate in2016, I did some research into Trump since I didn't know much about him other than his pop culture status and reality show existence; I found articles about Trump's shady and allegedly illegal dealings as far back as 2005 and earlier, but almost no one had heard of the situation since Trump was merely just another shady NY businessman flying under the radar of intensive scrutiny; an awful lot of detail info was out there and, if you did the homework it was relatively easy to find; one of the reasons I am not at all that surprised to see the idiotic, insane, deranged, distasteful, and illegal actions and activities Trump has displayed in his train wreck of an administration is because, if you looked beneath the thin veneer surface of Trump's self-proclaimed "greatness", there is just another petty con man who is milking all the marks and suckers for all they are worth, and, like the vast majority of inept con men, he has played his con too long and is now going to have to pay a price...

BTW, it seems yet another prominent, top-tier law firm wants nothing to do with Trump (in the same way as reputable major banks, reputable, prominent law firms have also shunned Trump due to his stiffing and burning them on payment of billings); on the now infamous (and illegal) Trump phone call attempt to bully the Georgia Secretary of State into breaking the law and falsifying vote tallies, one of the Trump councilors was Cleta Mitchell, an attorney and partner at the Milwaukee law firm of Foley & Lardner; Mitchell resigned one day after her firm issued a statement distancing themselves from Mitchell and her involvement in the illegal Trump call; the wording of the statement issued by Mitchell and the firm announcing her resignation was a textbook example of a polite 'firing' of Mitchell by the firm in which she was a partner; my guess is Foley & Lardner were either unaware of the extent of Mitchell's extracurricular activities (Trump does not appear to have been a formal client of the firm) or did not have reason to expect Mitchell would be fool enough to participate in such a blatant criminal act; I guess it just doesn't look good for the firm's resume to even remotely appear to condone criminality...

Republican attorney on Trump’s call to Georgia officials resigns from law firm --

I wonder if Mitchel seriously believes Trump will pay her bill when she presents it to him...

That is true, more or less.

But you forget one little thing: The main reason your country was and is involved is also selfish: To sell products to Europe, to form a block of shared interests and (during the Cold War) a forward defense: If there would be ever a war with the Soviet Union, Europe would be devastated for sure and not necessarily the US.

Yeah, some Europeans are whining. But also some Americans are whining, not understanding what is the root cause of the current issues, still thinking to solve current issues with old recipes, which do not work anymore and instead seek their fortune in conspiracy theories...

Just listening to the speculation on the radio about possibility of Trump pardons and the possibility of Trump resigning early to let Pence pardon him came up and it inspired a bit of a mull of a different scenario: suppose Pence gets fed up with the whole Trump loony-bin chaos over the election and Pence decides to resign himself or maybe he resigns just to dodge being in the position of having the political albatross of being the guy who pardoned Trump (like Ford pardoning Nixon); Pence resigns and, by law, Trump would have to nominate a new Vice-President, but here is where it gets interesting in the current situation: the nominee would have to be confirmed by both chambers of Congress the House and the Senate; the House is unlikely to confirm a Trump patsy/lackey and the Senate, pending the outcome of the Georgia Senate runoff (and it does look as if the DEMs are going to squeak by with a win in both seats), could also be in a less than Trump-favorable position to confirm a Pence successor; if there is a 50/50 Senate split, the deciding vote would go to whoever succeeds Pence as President of the Senate Pro Tem, but even then, without a House majority confirmation, any Trump nomination go nowhere, leaving Trump in the position of having no one to pardon him and leaving him to either try to pardon himself (not likely to be upheld) or try to plea bargain his way out when he leaves office; there is also the consideration of time in such a scenario: already we're only two weeks away from Biden taking office and, depending on when such a hypothetical scenario played out, there either wouldn't be enough time to fully exercise the confirmation process or the DEMs, particularly in the House, could simply delay and run out the clock on Trump's nominee...

I honestly don't think there's any real chance of such a scenario happening, but it is a good mull and, hey, they way things have been going, who's to say its all that far-fetched? I mean, did anyone have "President makes a recorded illegal vote tampering call to state Secretary of State in the final weeks of his term" on their bingo card?...

@Buddahaid...

yeah no, the statues were bought and paid for, and permitted to be placed there. Tearing them down is a criminal act of Criminal Damage To Property.

Again, liberal communists like you dont understand that.

Key word being "permitted"; permission are, in fact, revocable, for any reason the permitting entity(ies) impose; purchase and placement do not automatically entitle permission nor permanence; legal action, by the legally granted powers of the legal permitting entity(ies) is in no way a crime or even vandalism, under the law...

Reasonable, logical, and rational people know this...

...those that don't, well, there are three adjectives in the previous sentence of whom the antonyms are descriptive...

You really have no idea what you’re talking about, do you? Communists hate liberals.
