Lets stay sober. This ^ is not what a so-called democratic system is about. This is what its about to derail a democratic system without getting called out for it.

They are simply posturing over the bones for photo ops in order to woo Trumps power base. I don't believe they think they can seriously alter the outcome.

In actual fact it is what the democratic system is about. Although I don't agree with what these people are doing it is lawful, it adheres to the Constitution and it is not the first time it has been done. In fact if you had the slightest actual interest in this process you would know that the same thing was tried against Trump just four years ago. See post #12054. And it failed just like this one will. There are many forms of protest available to citizens and this is one of them.

Indeed. They don't control the House and Senate leader McConnell and a number of GOP Senators have signalled their opposition to this. Game over.

I've heard a lot of this before, let me see, oh yes, it was in 2016 and the only difference is it's coming from the right in 2020.

We lived through that, and Trump, and we will live through Biden just as certainly and just think, maybe the US will figure out a voting system that both sides can believe in by then.
