The anoying part about the lowe is when people (EX me) work for tier 8 tanks for months, but some people can drop 30$ to get to tier 8 in afew minutes.
And then when you get a team of 5 or 6 lowes. Quote:
But 30,000 credits after a good battles when you kill a lot of enemy's... just doesn't cut it.

True,it's just a pity there isn't some sort of rank feature that shows you are a seasoned tanker and not a 'wallet warrior' noob.

It is VERY noticeable! Now, i have a mod which removes the hud completely from the game, so i can take screenies whilst playing, w/o the hud interfering: My Marder in the foreground, awaiting battle. A nice aerial of battle countdown! The zoom works incredibly well, you can zoom in under the tracks at the right angle, or, you can zoom right out and get a bird's eye view of proceedings. I'll try to take better shots tomorrow. |

Also, on a side note for the Lowe weakspots.
Hit the lower Glacis plate on any German tank and it will penetrate. Also, if a Lowe is hulldown on you and you only have a shot at the turret (difficult to pen sometimes) aim right under their gun. Theres a shot trap that will make the round bounce right into the front of their hull which kills the driver, possibly the ammo load, the transmission (ergo engine) and can also take out the turret ring if your lucky. Have had a few hits like these and they're a pain in the arse. Edit: Also, does people making fun of others for actually PAYING to play a game while they do not paint a sad picture of society or is it just me?

I usually return the 'favor' by replying through a private channel. If the abuse was so bad I sent a PM to go with the private channel message. BUUUUUURRRRRN down this little man. Never go to bad angry It doesn't mean becoming like them though. I was merely suggesting to return the 'courtesy' so these kind of people know how it feels dealing with their own kind of personality. I am sure they don't like to deal with their own like personality. In short to play them. It is also one of the reason to educate younger people(children) about these kind of people in the internet so that they understand and are not dragged into their level. It's best to limit their internet usage per day too until they are adult and can be trusted or have developed a character of their own.

When I make say 24,000 in my T-54 the repair and ammo replenishment would cost me 17-20,000. In the end I made just a few thousands. But can't beat the fun and XP.

I'm about 3K away from the KV-3. I'm skipping the KV-1S, i've heard it's no good, certainly not as good as the KV-3.
Also, why is the S-51 127, 300 XP? That is insane! |

Downloaded the game last night of the recommendation of a guy i used to work with.
Not had a chance to play yet. Is it a steep learning curve?

As for steep learning curve. The controls and general movements and how to shoot etc aren't hard to learn. But as for ingame tactics, and general tactics of tanks, that's another story all together. Each tank has a personality, if you will. They all handle differently, with each tank having their own strengths and weaknesses. A good link to check out is the WoW forums, where guys post everything from tactics for different maps to tank tactics, technology tree progressions to modding: http://forum.worldoftanks.com/ You need to be patient with the game, you won't just all of a sudden be a Panzer Ace. You will grind xp and credits for furthering and unlocking new tanks to purchase and you will battle in all sorts of environments, from the desert, to the mountains and in the snow! Learn the maps, study them, listen to your team mates, and most of all don't think you are invincible and invisible, somebody somewhere sees you! Also, when upgrading or researching a tech tree, know what play style suits you, so that you don't waste precious xp and credits. Example, do you want to snipe and kill and maim from a distance? Do you want to get up close and personal, shooting point blank range? Do you want to shell enemies from afar via Artillery? You have to be clear in your upgrade goals. If not, then you waste a lot of the xp. By all means, experiment and try new tanks. That way you kill the monotonous grinding in just 1 type of tank. See you on the battlefield! |

Thanks for the heads up.
Have been playing around and have researched everything for my Leichttraktor. I take it you have to buy gold you can not earn it during the game, or convert XP into gold?
