I have visit the site this morning and what i have seen: in this few flights Dowly 50+ planes shot Fin more than 80
Was the enemy sleeping, were those planes parked on the ground? Or is it just me who's a lazy shooter :hmm: hard to figure it out ... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Both Dowly and Fin are quite talented pilots, so when you combine that with some great teamwork a lot of Allies are going to be taking a scenic route home
The normal level of the AI depends on which squadron we are facing, most have a base level of Average/Veteran which when engaged with numerical superiority isnt too difficult, but when they outnumber us 8 to 1 it can prove to be a very difficult time indeed! Bomber streams differ greatly, sometimes we position ourselves perfectly and down lots on our first few passes, other times we get caught out and end up taking a lot of damage. Afrika was a hard fight, Sicily is starting to heat up now especially with the influx of new Allied aircraft types such as the Beaufighter X and Spitfire fighter bombers. V |

Aye, I'll take fighters over bombers any day!
The G-2 is an excellent aircraft against the current fighter opposition we face, and I'm confident in my ability to outmaneuver them. If that doesn't work and one gets on your six you can count on another 109 landing on the enemy's six within 30 seconds. That's one of the greatest things when flying with a group of good human pilots. Against bombers it's more like a lottery: You are going to get shot at, no matter how well you do, and with enough shots fired at you one is going to hit. I must say the current level of AI gunners we face seems to be spot on: They're not inhuman snipers scoring headshots at every opportunity, but they still make you fear them and be cautious in your attacks. |

First of all, I absolutely love what JG53 is doing.
2nd, I'm seeing the stuff I left the group for, the 3 sorties I've flown with JG53 now that I returned have been a cakewalk. Like when I left, it's just an race for the kills, there's no challenge. Even the fighters tend to be a tad passive. So, my suggestion is to start playing the sorties with a minimum veteran skill on the AI, ace skill for some "ace" AI pilots. Sure, lots of new and "noobies" would get shot down, but they'll learn from their mistakes. |

Ah Don't worry Dowly, now we are familiar with Sicily the Allies are goig to start puting up a hard fight
Which should mean that everyone flies better as a team to ensure we all make it back alive! The past few missions have simply been a warm up for a lot of the new guys and a tester for some of the old ones who have had PC issues like Munkee. But rest assured, the enemy WILL start caliming a few more very soon! V |

Ah where were you last night Dowly!
You missed two very hard dogfights with some very nasty enemies! On the second mission we even had two Aces leading the assualt on our airfield - I believe all of us who returned home made a quick dash for the toilet after that one! V |

In my early years as Oberst i was a great pilot, doing my duty was a great honor. After the invasion af France i even had the oppartunity to join the FÛHRER in his trip to Paris. By the way, I should just create a Subsim section with the amount of you chaps coming over! ha! Bunch of dirty pirates! Plus Dowly and Fin are getting a little closer to that "General" rank they are both longing for! V |
