Wow even better views! I really enjoy these first-person deck POV . I think it delivers a real feeling of immersion and being part of the action. Hopefully playing as the task force admiral we can get out away from the Plots and up onto the observation deck to get a feel for the action. Halsey certainly did.
Another idea is radio. I’m thinking of the “Radio Commander” example here. I’ve been impressed with this game's simple but effective concept. In this game you never actually see the action, you hear it over the radio. It “paints” a pic of the action in the player’s mind. Imagine if you could hear the TF air squadrons as they make contact and enter action. This did happen in RL naval battles and was even shared with the entire crew in some cases. |

Radio commander is the experience we're going for if you pick the maximum level of realism. As for the rest, yeah, I have a long history of naval games, and that TF-42/Destroyer Command feel of having the wind blowing on your face was just too good not to be reenacted

I have Radio Commander and I like it, and I played Destroyer Command to death back in those days, so I think I'm going to really like Task Force Admiral!

Yesterday, we posted a few shots after tweaking the in-game Fovy (Field of view y-axis) & well, it sure delivers. Put simply, play around that setting and every shot becomes a keeper. What a few degrees of different bring to the sexiness of it all is outrageous.
Like everything else, camera-wise, it is entirely toggable on the fly using / and * on your numpad so that you can take your shot in-game (and in the replay mode, when there will be a replay mode). Hope you'll approve of the lines of the ladies below Cheers and have a great Sunday all of you Subsimmers! |

Awesome . I really enjoyed the views from the carrier decks and aircraft. Sounds were good too.

Well, I for one can't wait! This is a high-priority acquisition for me, on a short list of titles that are of great interest. Anything not on the short list is only a maybe.
This, on the other hand, has evolved into a definite purchase. |

Really nice modeling of the Aichi floatplane ( color? ). Loved the catapult launch effects. I remember the AIchi type were the first aircraft launched to reach Pearl on the early morning of Dec 7 1941 and radio back to the fleet: “Enemy fleet in port." Seems spooky and sad now. I thought the TF radar and callouts sequences were impressive also.
